Achievement Info
An epic dark fantasy world where the fate of the land is decided by the mighty Eikons and the Dominants who wield them. This is the tale of Clive Rosfield, a warrior granted the title “First Shield of Rosaria” and sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the dominant of the Phoenix. Before long, Clive will be caught up in a great tragedy and swear revenge on the Dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity that brings calamity in its wake.

This is your official heads-up! The following content contains major spoilers for Final Fantasy XVI. If you haven't yet experienced the game and want to avoid plot details and surprises, it's best to steer clear of this guide until you've played through. Proceed with caution if you’re not ready for key story elements and character revelations to be revealed!

Missable Achievement Notification
To start off, just play through the game without worrying about achievements. The missable achievements are Half Past Twilight and My Reward Is with Me, all you need to do is make sure that you don't sell your crafting materials (check the achievements for more details).

DLC Notification
Final Fantasy XVI has 2 DLCs, “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide.” Unfortunately the DLC are required for the 100%, which may come as bad news to some. However, to most Final Fantasy fans this is OK because it means we’ve got more Final Fantasy to play :D. We’ll be playing the DLCs on Final Fantasy mode as there are difficulty based achievements to earn in each. Feel free to play the DLCs on the other difficulties but know that you’ll have to redo them.

Kairos Gate is a roguelike mode introduced in this DLC. You will begin all runs with a default set of equipment, level, and stats, but are able to modify your Eikons and abilities. You cannot use your actual gear in this challenge. However, any loot and rewards that you earn in this mode will carry over to your regular playthrough. A full run of Kairos Gate can take approximately 90 minutes, and you will need to finish it in one sitting to earn the achievement.

Regular enemies will get knocked down after the 4th hit of a regular basic attack combo, as well as using some Eikon abilities such as Phoenix's Scarlet Cyclone. Clive will punish enemies by pressing Square near them if they are knocked down on the ground and will act like a finisher. You can also punish knocked-down enemies by using Phoenix's Eikon Feat Shift Strike at them. Punishing the same enemy several times will count towards this achievement.

The first and easiest chance for you can obtain this achievement is while progressing through the Main Quest: "Fanning Embers" as at the end, you face a boss named Midnight Raven. If you happen to mess up or get damaged, you can load up an auto-save prior to the encounter, as the game does save right beforehand.

The ability to use Limit Break in order to enter a semi-primed form is unlocked during the Main Quest: "The Meaning of Life" and is usable from this point onward as long as the Limit Break gauge has at least 1 charge. After entering a semi-primed form, you will have to defeat 20 enemies in order to unlock the trophy. This trophy is cumulative and can be done at any point in the game.

You can easily obtain this achievement during your first playthrough once you have unlocked all of the Eikons. The trick here is to raise the damage multiplier to x1.50 or 150% as fast as you can after staggering an enemy.

In order to unlock this achievement, you will need to perform either Shift Strike or Shift Shot a total of 15 times. These are triggered by performing a Phoenix Shift and then attack by using either melee or magic to perform a Shift Strike or a Shift Shot, respectively.

Heatwave is one of the abilities that you can learn from Phoenix at the cost of 120 AP. Now in order to unlock this trophy, you will need to use Heatwave right before the moment a projectile attack hits you. If you have successfully done this, Clive will automatically counterattack and perform a Heatwave Counter. You will need to perform Heatwave Counter twice in a single battle in order to unlock the achievement.

In order to unlock this achievement, you will need to defeat 5 enemies in the air after pulling them with Deadly Embrace. You can weaken your enemies first on the ground, then jump and use Deadly Embrace in the air, and then deal enough damage to defeat them before they fall back to the ground. You can also use Garuda's other abilities after using Deadly Embrace since you can activate Garuda's other abilities while you are in mid-air.

Land Gouge, Wicked Wheel, and Rook's Gambit in midair before landing (excluding battles in Hall of Virtue).

Gouge, Wicked Wheel, and Rook's Gambit are abilities that you can learn from Garuda. Now, in order to equip all three abilities, you will first have to fully upgrade or master one of these three so that you can equip it on a different Eikon that's not Garuda. Once you have all three abilities equipped, the easiest way to unlock this achievement is to find a large enemy and then go mid-air and use all three abilities in any order.

Blind Justice is Ramuh's Eikonic Feat, which allows you to launch a barrage of lightning balls on one or more enemies. You can release up to 6 per cast (9 if mastered). Blind Justice will discharge once you damage an enemy through multiple basic attacks or by using a skill. It will release a chain-lightning effect and damage all surrounding enemies; if any of these enemies has any Blind Justice stacks, they will also trigger.

Lightning Rod is one of the abilities that you can learn from Ramuh. It is recommended to fully upgrade this ability first which requires 1645 AP to ensure that it lasts long enough for an enemy to strike it three times. Now in order to unlock this achievement, it is recommended to find a single large enemy so that all you have to do after summoning a Lightning Rod is to lure the enemy to it and then stand behind the rod. You will know that an enemy has hit the Lightning Rod if you see an Orange electricity that sparked from the rod.

Titanic Block is Titan's Eikonic Feat, which allows you to block incoming attacks. Doing a Precision Block is not necessary for this achievement, so your timing is not important. This trophy is cumulative and can be done at any point in the game.

Titanic Counter is triggered by using a Titanic Block right before the moment an attack hits you to trigger a Precision Block and then immediately follow it up with the attack button to perform a Titanic Counter. If you have successfully done this, the camera's view will change into something like a cinematic one and now Clive must land the last punch of the counterattack (Titanic Counter III) in order for it to count. You will need to perform Titanic Counter twice in a single battle in order to unlock the achievement.

Megaflare is a part of Bahamut's Eikonic Feat, the Wings of Light, where it charges up as long as the Wings of Light is active. Once it has reached a certain level, and in this case, Level 2, you will be able to release Megaflare. This achievement is cumulative and can be unlocked at any point in the game.

Megaflare is a part of Bahamut's Eikonic Feat, the Wings of Light, where it charges up as long as the Wings of Light is active. In order to unlock this achievement, you will need to fully upgrade the Wings of Light first which requires 750 AP. After you have fully upgraded the Wings of Light, find an enemy whose moveset you are familiar with and then activate the Wings of Light. Now, you will need to execute 3 Precision Dodges before your Megaflare charge level reaches level 4. Successfully performing a Precision Dodge while the Wings of Light is active will instantly raise the Megaflare charge level by 1.

Inflict Permafrost on 10 enemies by perfectly dodging attacks with Cold Snap (excluding battles in Hall of Virtue).

Cold Snap is Shiva's Eikonic Feat, which allows you to slide into any direction and dodge incoming attacks. In order to unlock this achievement, you must perform a Precision Dodge using Cold Snap in order to inflict Permafrost on an enemy. If you have successfully done this, the camera's view will change into something like a cinematic one, and you'll notice that the enemy and its surroundings are frozen. This achievement is cumulative and can be done on a single enemy repeatedly.

This is easily done by using Diamond Dust on a group of weak enemies. Before attempting to use Diamond Dust, make sure that the group of enemies is low on health and inflict Permafrost (see Bronze Oh, Snap!) on all of them. Once you have set that up, use Diamond Dust to defeat the group of enemies at the same time in order to unlock this achievement.

Zantetsuken is a part of Odin's Eikonic Feat, the Arm of Darkness, where Clive's Sword will be replaced by Odin's Sword. Every normal attack done while the Arm of Darkness is active and any damage done by Odin's abilities will charge the Zantetsuken meter. You can unleash the attack once you have reached at least Level 1 charge. In order to unlock this trophy, you will need to unleash a Zantetsuken that's at least Level 2 a total of 5 times. This achievement is cumulative and can be unlocked at any point in the game.

Steel Counter is a part of Odin's Eikonic Feat, the Arm of Darkness, where Clive's Sword will be replaced by Odin's Sword. Once the Arm of Darkness is active, you will have to parry an enemy's attack by attacking right at the moment an enemy also attacks.

If you Semi-Prime as Clive, you'll still be able to use Arm of Darkness while gaining the bonus melee speed from the Semi-Prime. If you use these at the same time, spam attack your foes and you'll likely get parries.

Serpent's Cry is Leviathan's Eikonic Feat, which turns Clive's left arm into the head of a serpent. Tidal attacks are the Square and Triangle "regular attacks" available to you when using Leviathan's Eikonic Feat, substituting the usual basic sword attack and magic burst. You can use either the regular charged version of these attacks for the achievement, but do take note that Eikon Abilities won't count for this trophy.

This achievement can easily be obtained during the boss fight versus Perykos when you're given these abilities. If you haven't unlocked this trophy yet, you can equip Leviathan and use Serpent's Cry anytime and hit enemies in the overworld.

You do not have to defeat the enemies using the same attack, only during the same unlimited ammo Quick Refill window, and you can also use the charged versions of the Tidal attacks. The most optimal way to obtain this is to fight the 5 Old Ibex near Tailwind Bay, as they have very low HP and are not aggressive until you attack them, which allows you to prepare your Quick Refill before combat. Refer to the following video for a visual guide on how to obtain this trophy:

The best way to gain AP is by farming Hyenas in Final Fantasy mode. The Hyenas are located east of the Ravenwit Walls waypoint in the Kingdom of Waloed, which means you will need to progress all the way to the end of the story to reach this point. Video included, credit to them.

Complete a chronolith trial.

Chronolith Trials have a similar appearance to the Arete Stone that is in the hideaway, and there are 7 of these trials that are located around Valisthea. Entering one of these trials will have Clive fighting waves of enemies that must be defeated within the time limit. Take note that Clive will only have access to the Eikon Abilities that are tied to that specific trial.

In order to unlock the achievement, you only need to complete 1 of these trials, but you will have to complete every single trial since it will give you a curiosity that is required for the achievement "For the Hoard."

Obtain all curiosities.

There are 22 curiosities for Clive's Chambers that you need to collect in order to unlock this achievement. These types of curiosities are decorative items awarded through Main Quests and Side Quests in the second half of your playthrough. There are no missable curiosities, so you don't have to worry about missing any of these.

You can check which ones you have by viewing the Wall of Memories in Clive's Chambers on the Second Hideaway.

This achievement is missable if you sell any of the materials required to craft this weapon; to be safe, avoid selling any items until you have this trophy. To craft the Gotterdammerung, you must complete the Blacksmith's Blues questline, which consists of a series of four quests that become available after the time skip in the game.

The Pen is Mightier
Open 10 letters at the reading table.

There are 48 letters available in the game, but you only need to read 10 letters in order to unlock this trophy. Letters are received through various means, like receiving them at the start of a Main Quest, after completing a Sub-Quest, or after completing a specific Side Quest. Some letters will be read as part of the story, and some others will have to be read in order to start a Side Quest.

You'll know that a letter is available once you receive a notification on the top-left corner of the screen that a "New Missive is available". After receiving that notification, head inside Clive's Chambers, then check the table on the left side of the entrance to open up the Missive Menu. Now, all you have to do is to read at least 10 letters here in order to unlock the achievement.

Help Harpocrates attain a knowledge level of 5.

Harpocrates will gain knowledge when you obtain Active Time Lore entries, which will occur automatically as you progress through the story. To increase his knowledge level, you must speak with him after obtaining the entries. This achievement is not missable, as the experience is cumulative and will be pooled each time you visit him. If you are vigilant in completing all the Side Quests, you will likely obtain this achievement during the Main Quest: "Onward".

Obtain all available items from your patrons.

After starting the Main Quest: "Cid the Outlaw," you can begin earning a new currency called Renown, which is essentially a form of reputation gained by completing Main Quests, Side Quests, and defeating Notorious Marks.

In the second Hideaway, there is a new shop called The Patron's Whisper, run by Desiree, where you can claim various items after reaching certain Renown thresholds.

You will need to earn a total of 2850 Renown in order to claim all of the items. This will require you to complete almost every side quest in the game. Fortunately, none of the quests that award Renown are missable.

A Precision Sic can be achieved by commanding Torgal to use either of his commands on an enemy immediately after you perform various actions, but the easiest one to do it is right after the fourth hit of your standard combo. An indication that you have triggered a Precision Sic is if you see Torgal performing an attack with an Orange Aura around him. If you choose to use the Ring of Timely Assistance, you will have Torgal perform several Precision Sics per combat encounter.

After completing the Main Quest: "Cid the Outlaw" you will gain access to the new Hideaway. Right near the Orchestrion, you can talk to Maeve, from whom you can purchase drinks. This achievement will be unlocked after you have bought 36,000 gil worth of drinks for yourself or for the entire bar. Feel free to reload your save after getting it if you want to keep your money.

I can confirm, as soon as you craft the item the achievement should have popped. Make sure you’ve equipped the item in case that might be the catalyst but otherwise it could have just bugged out. Sometimes achievements for me pop when I log in next.

For "You're Not the Boss of Me" you can use stage replay and just destroy Midnight Raven at an absurdly higher level to cheese that achievement. That's what I did to get it.

You can't get "Such Dodge, So Mega" if you get hit, if I'm recalling properly from when I did the 100% on PS5. As for "You're Not the Boss of Me," I recommend fighting a boss you know well so you don't get hit and you should be good.

Yes, you can craft anything you want to. Just make sure not to sell any of the crafting materials and you'll be all good :)
