Unlike all of the other spirits, Elena does not like to hug and it will make her extremely unhappy.
She also dislikes a fully upgraded house, and she's perfectly happy with what she is given as soon as her house is built.

1 - Firstly, you're going to want to make sure you have very happy spirits that improve the moods of others with their music (Atul & Gustav). If you don't have them though, you can still easily get this achievement! But it will take a little bit longer. You'll also want to make sure you've done all of Bruce & Mickey's objectives as well as Giovanni's and that they have gone to the Everdoor before you try to get Elena to ecstatic, since they bring everyone's mood down drastically, and that makes it extremely hard to keep her happy. (The peaches that you have to grow for Bruce & Mickey's last objective will also be very helpful to you in making Elena happy, so make sure to keep them in mind. ^^) If you have Jackie on your boat as of now, you'll want to make sure he is always at ecstatic, (since he help's out other spirits.) in hopes that he will help out Elena.
If you're ahead of all of this so far that's great! In the mean time while you're working on it, make sure to check and see when Elena is hungry often, and feed her some of the food she likes (Healthy food and plain food). She will get a small boost from this. Feeding her her favorite food (Green Salad) won't be too helpful yet as her bonus will most likely wear off by the time you're ready to move on.

- I recommend growing fruit and harvesting berries (healthy food) as you sail, as well as cooking rice. (plain food).

- If you haven't already upgraded Gustav's Gallery to full capacity you will want to do that as well.

2- There's also some little things you may want to do to improve her mood such as, moving Elena's house beside Gustav's Gallery and putting them onto the very bottom of your ship, this is where the decked out gallery will come in handy as she will get a mood boost from visiting. ("Visited Gustav's gallery") If you have the lounge she will also get a boost ("Had a refreshing beverage") You can make one by getting the Expert blueprint upgrade from Albert. (It can be found in the 3rd section of the building menu - the bench icon).

-I've seen people say that putting the lounge on top of both Elena's house and Gustav's Gallery will make her more likely to go there, especially if you move everything else up closer to the top. It didn't work for me personally but it may for you!

3- Finally, head off to one of her challenges (Pulsar rays, Dragon, Thunderstorms) which are marked on the map, and complete it. She will be proud of your work ethic and get a mood boost. (Pulsar rays seem to be the easiest for most people, the dragon may be too time consuming for some people and the boosts she previously had may wear off but try it out if you'd like.) Remember as you're sailing to give her the food she likes when she is hungry.

- You can either give her her favorite food (Green salad) before or after you have completed her challenge, (I'm pretty sure either works). And you should be all done! Hopefully she is finally ecstatic! If not, just keep repeating the same things and she will be soon enough, I promise you.

-She doesn't have to fully fill the ecstatic bar, (Even though this guide should fill it) it just has to light up for it to count towards the achievement.
-If she's ecstatic at the end of this but you haven't gotten the achievement, check to see if Daria has been made ecstatic, she's very easy but a lot of people miss it. (Daria will only come onto your boat when she is ready to go to the Everdoor, other than that she will be in the Overbrook Hospital.)
