Call of Duty World at War - Veteran Difficulty Guide

1. Use Cover Strategically
Stay behind cover as much as possible and only expose yourself when necessary to take shots.

2. Utilize Smoke Grenades
Smoke grenades are invaluable for providing concealment as you move between positions.

3. Keep Moving
Avoid staying in one spot for too long, as enemies will bombard you with grenades. Relocate frequently.

4. Crawl When Possible
Spend a significant portion of your time crawling to minimize your exposure to enemy fire.

5. Take It Slow
Patience is key. Don’t rush through areas—clear them methodically to avoid being overwhelmed.

6. Scavenge for Better Weapons
Look for automatic weapons as you progress through levels to increase your firepower.

7. Use Grenade Tactics
Throw back enemy grenades when possible and use your own to flush out enemies hiding in cover.

8. Stay with Your Team
Your AI teammates can provide covering fire and draw enemy attention, making it easier for you to advance.

9. Learn Enemy Spawn Points
Some areas have set spawn locations. Understanding these can help you make aggressive pushes effectively.

10. Practice Difficult Sections
If you’re struggling with a particular part, replay it to learn enemy positions and timing.

11. Take Breaks
If you get frustrated, step away and return later with a fresh perspective. This can help you approach challenges with renewed focus.

12. Use Prone and Crouch
When moving between cover, alternate between prone and crouch to stay low while maintaining some speed.

13. Destroy Key Targets
In some missions, taking out specific threats (like tanks) early can make the remainder of the mission easier.

14. Be Persistent
Veteran difficulty is challenging by design. Expect to die frequently, but learn from each attempt and adapt your strategy.

Final Tips
Remember that certain sections, like the beginning of "Heart of the Reich" and parts of "Downfall," are notoriously difficult. Stay patient and keep trying different approaches until you succeed. Good luck!

If it helps, there are leaning options in the controls. it's not good but it's something.

Nicely done on the Guide. I know for me # 11 took awhile to learn & sink into my brain. You get taken out by a "Lucky Shot", or grenade or something and you want to do it again, Now ! And then you die Again, then Again and Again and ... :steamfacepalm:, you get the idea. And then also # 3 was hard to keep in my mind as when you keep moving you do not get that good of set Shots or shooting areas. But if you Camp, you are Dead. End of Story. :lisun::nwfail::angry_seagull:
