place the potato mode mod from nexus[www.nexusmods.com] or the mod releases channel[discord.com] in the pseudoregalia discord[discord.gg] (direct link to file[cdn.discordapp.com]) in ..\Pseudoregalia\pseudoregalia\Content\Paks\~mods (create the ~mods folder in Paks)

changes the particles on time trial pickups, aspects and all of princess and maid projectiles to a basic projectile
disables effects on bursts, splashes, slashes, healing end, sunsetter, god hand charging and the loose weapon
i believe these are all the troublesome particles dealt with but please say if there's something else you suspect to be causing freezing
