Product License Strategy Guide
By Fallonius
The objective of this guide is to provide the best product licenses to purchase based on the AVERAGE product margin and space used on storage racks and product shelving. This should reduce the amount of products needed on shelves and streamlines the selection for easier purchasing and stocking/shelving.

Product License Strategy Logic
The first product license has an average margin price of $3 based on all products in that license. Based on that, any license that is greater than $3 is considered a better product license. Other factors like shelf space and storage space a product occupies has a major impact. For example, toilet paper takes up only two spots on a shelf and takes up one spot on a storage rack. Not worth it in my opinion. Books are an example of a better option because they take up a standard amount of space on a shelf, 8, but can stack up to 6 full boxes on a rack.

Customers have a limit to the total amount of product they can purchase which is why you want to have high margin products on the shelves. The total amount of customers that show up at the store is based on store level, not product licenses unlocked. Below is my recommended product license strategy as you play through the game.

Market Layout
The layout of my market is shown below. Stocking shelves fully vertical provides two benefits. It helps identify when you are out of product and gives leeway on ordering more.

Storage Layout
1 Tall Rack can hold 20 or more boxes of products depending on the product type.
Based on that, you can usually order 20 of one product to fill 1 Tall Rack.
In the screenshot below, 2 boxes fill one spot on the rack. Since there are 10 spots on the rack, that means it can hold 20 boxes.
When ordering, always max out the product to 10 and buy twice. That will fill a rack.
You'll know when to order more when your market shelves aren't fully stocked.
Stocker stuck bug fix
I see a lot of people are struggling with the stockers getting stuck. The bug only affects people who had saved games before the patch with storage racks that had products on them. Here is the solution to solving the issue.

First step is to clear all the racks you had before the patch. Or just clear all your racks in general.

Second step is to remove all the tags.

Final step (Optional) Save and return to menu then go back in.

This should reset the storage racks and should resolve the issue. I haven't had an issue since doing so.

Why as a store owner should I weigh fruit?

I like this strategy, but..... Why are so many other licenses not listed, that would be available at 90?!

Damn this works so well.

@JamJamSlam It's not that easy to do, because we don't know how many products someone will put into the shelves. Also:

- Not every products sells in a single day, so the electricity will also vary between each product unit.
- The only affected license is the Sushi, all the others just use normal racks.
- The ranking won't change much, if at all.
- The margins will also change with random price changes.

your average profit margins are wrong. You need to calculate electricity cost.

The problem with the paper towels is they take up too much rack/shelf space to be worth it in my opinion, which is what I stated originally above. I accounted for density, now that you mention it, which is why I ignored it.

I also found out that all freezer sizes cost the same in terms of daily upkeep ($12.60), wich makes the smaller ones especially terrible, and freezers aren't space efficient at all. For fridges it's also a little silly, the small/rounded ones have the same upkeep as the bigger and better ones. But the freezers with 5 and 10 shelves are still great. Not too expensive with $4.20 a day for the small one, $8.40 a day for the big one, and they are very space efficient.

The toothpaste licence is also really good btw, maybe you want to give that one another look? It's 4 products (softener/paper towels*2/toothpaste, needs about 3 racks, and has an average profit of $6.06 per product. I hope I haven't miscalculated. :)

Yeah, the biggest plus is the time you save by not having to restock cheap stuff. You can also save a lot of money not needed many employees, if any. Wich is good because they are too slow.

I'm done now ranking all licences based off the initial market price once you unlock it. Most electricity costs go into the terrible freezer licences, wich you don't have ranked. The green beans-license is the worst by far, costing you 50$ a day easily for the elictricity, with a $2.59 average profit per procuct.

Thanks! I made the guide cause I realized you could focus on a few product licenses versus all of them. It simplified the game and increased profits along the way.
