One of the worst perma death modes I've played over 200+ games! Here's my save file with fully upgraded train and 28 spare scraps for the final ride. It's doable!

Back up your own save files first!
1) They can be found at:
C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Obscure\Saved\SaveGames

2) Download my files

3) Turn off Steam sync!

4) Once in the game, click Continue.

5) This is what you can get:

Defeat Charles in Nightmare Mode
What to Do?!
1) Remain calm, lol.

A train is fully upgraded, you're ready to summon Charles for the final battle and even have 28 scraps for emergency repairs. Trust me, that's enough.


2) Stay calm and keep on flaming in very-very short bursts!


2.1) Watch out for his teleportation moments! He will suddenly appear on a different route, so swiftly check both sides. This is where I spent most of mine scraps. Still got him!

3) ... it's finally over. Well done!

Just to note that scrapes were not enough. Had to use a HexEditor to manually increase the amount of scraps. I just wanted the trophy without the grind.
For anyone who wants the quick way. Download the hex editor: https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/

Then open the 05_scraps.sav file
Cntrl + F to find "28". Change that to 99. save and load up the game.:cupup:

Comentar que en la partida del autor solo hay 28 chatarra, para mi, insuficiente. Os aconsejo que cojais la chatarra de vuestra partida normal y la paseis a la partida del autor.

Como se hace.
Fàcil copias el archivo 05_Scraps.sav de la ruta C:\Users\TU_USUARIO\AppData\Local\Obscure\Saved\SaveGames

Just tried this and it worked well. My only recommendation from experimenting with the SAV files is to take your existing 05_Scraps and overwrite the author's SAV file for it (if you have a lot of existing scraps in that file, that is) and you will have more than enough scraps needed to complete this. The game cannot differentiate between SAV files for Normal and Nightmare mode in regards to scrap count, as well. Good luck and hope this helps!

God bless you and thank you very much! I completed it in 10 tries + made another circle around the entire map and increased the spare scraps to 56 pieces. P.S.: the integrity of the train really matters.:happystar2022:
