A very quick and dirty edit of my Melee Grunts VScript that repurposes the minor hurt sounds (and some of the other grunt sounds) and makes the survivors grunt in exertion whenever they jump.
Pairs well with my Shoe Scuff Sounds VScript.

The chances of the grunt sounds can be configured by heading to left4dead2/ems/jump_grunts/config.cfg and changing the value to anything between 0 and 100.

NOTE:

Ellis, Rochelle and Louis have very few grunt sounds, since they don't have many suitable "grunts" for this.

This will only work in singleplayer or a locally hosted server.
