The first way to find directory of files is pressing the ESC button in game and by clicking on the button that says “Open Game Files”

When trying to leave the room you should see the file path to find your directory
Type in the file path in the address bar at the top of the file explorer.

• Remember not to include WillsRoom_Door.png because it is not in the WillsRoom folder
  
• Use the file address presented on your screen and not my screenshot
  
• Make sure you go to the Free Will folder (the file that contains the WillsRoom folder). This is the folder that most of the puzzles will appear and be solved in

This is what you should see in the Free Will folder

The way to solve the door puzzle is Drag the WillsRoom_Door.png (located in the Free Will folder) into the WillsRoom folder

To get inside the parents room Enter the farthest door on the left of the hallway


How to continue the story once inside: Interact with the red photo in the top right section of the room


Corruption will spread and you will need to leave the room. Once you are outside move around a bit to trigger the next part of the story

How to activate the Cleanse feature: Go to the Will.txt file which can be found in the Free Will folder. You should see a list of abilities separated out by commas. Add a comma after "kick" and write "cleanse" after to add the cleanse ability.

It should look like this once you have added cleanse:

How to find the map: Go to your Free Will Folder and find the text file named “map_draft_DONOTEDITPLEASE_final” and open it.

What the map icons mean:
This Icon (⬚) means there is a floor tile.
This Icon(◼) means that there is a wall tile.
This Icon (▣) is something to interact with.
This icon (▤) is the stairs. It is also where you start

How to solve the null map puzzle: Move along the floor tiles and avoid the wall tiles. Move to the unblocked interactable item with this icon (▣). Once you interact with it the map will be updated, a wall removed, and a passageway opened from this which leads to another item to interact with. This process will repeat Once you reach the end you will have passageway into the living room

To find the laser pointer: Look in the toy bins in the bottom right corner of the screen

To play with Kipps: move the laser pointer circle close to him, when it moves into his thought bubble he has successfully caught it. You will need to do this three times to move on to the next area.


After talking with mom interact with the pancakes to move onto the next part of the story

How to win the fight with mom: Go to item and use the laser pointer to draw Kipps into the kitchen. Mom will take the Kipps. Once she is holding Kipps use your cleanse feature to defeat Mom

How to find the Attic key: After you defeat mom it should be sparkling on the kitchen floor

To solve the Attic puzzle, you have to “turn back time”
You have to know two things to solve this puzzle.

• How far time needs to be turned back
  
• How to turn back the time

How far to turn back time: a year ago

How to turn back time: You need to change system time on your computer.
You can do this on windows 11 by going into Settings > Time and Language > Date and Time > Set the Date and Time manually
You can do this on Mac by System Settings > General> Date and Time. Turn off “Set Date and Time Automatically” and then change the time

This should be your end result: The screen should be tinted brown and an attic ladder appears in the room.


Potential bug: This doesn't work for some people in certain countries (or maybe some people in general?) (developers are fixing the bug) but for now if you are stuck go to your save file and set "scene" to be "Attic"

To continue you need to interact with the papers in the top left corner of the screen to get a journal. Once you collect it interact with the two paintings, and then three boxes and it will then allow you to leave the room

To beat the stairs battle: you have to click the cleanse button three times in a row. Each time Will will attempt to resist you, however your influence eventually prevails and cleanses the monster


In this room you need to interact with two things before you leave.

First interaction: Interact with Dad to get the Wendy’s Room key

Second interaction: Go to the top right of the screen and interact with the computer, for a surprise! :)

The location of Wendy’s Room is the middle doorway in the upstairs hallway

In this room you will need to interact with the paintings in the top left to continue with the story



Location of sketchbook pieces: They are found in the “SketchBook” folder found in the Free Will folder

Solution: You drag the pieces from the file system into the in-game window. Then assemble the image in the window like a puzzle.



How to beat Wendy: Select “Torn Sketchbook” under Item to beat her

The two different endings happen when you get to make a specific choice: It is either choosing yes or no to deleting will


Delete Will ending/Our Apologies achievement: Is saying Yes to deleting will. (The game is also supposed to crash, reopen the game after crashing)

Free Will ending/A Letter From Beyond achievement: Is saying No continuously to deleting will again and again after being asked. There are some special effects that happen when choosing this ending, do not be alarmed this does not mean you have a virus or a broken computer. (The game is also supposed to crash two times, reopen the game after crashing each time) (At the end it says you need to wait 72 hours to finish the game. To get past this fast forward your system time by 72 hours. Check Attic PUZZLE on the guide on how to do that)
