The rips and tears were added to give depth to the design. I realise that not everyone will like it, but the design is about taking a risk and creating a brand new design. The good thing about the pattern is that it can be easily fixed to remove said rips and tears, giving the gun a 'cleaner' overall look.

Parameters ensure that designs are similar, yet use different areas of the pattern with each application.
