• Check your game folder and make sure that your main game directory and all subfolders are not set as read-only. Executable mods will need to modify the files therein directly to install properly. Go to > 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\', right click on Knights of the Old Republic II folder and uncheck read-only check box.
  
  
• It's important for you to make sure that Windows Global Scaling Value is set to 100% otherwise the game will break when using the Widescreen Modifications this guide relies on.
  Right click on Desktop > Display Settings > Scale and Layout and set your scaling to 100%.
  
  
• DO NOT USE THE STEAM WORKSHOP OR ANYTHING ON IT. Using it will effectively break the guide and potentially cause otherwise preventable game crashes. If you choose to ignore this I will assume you know what you're doing, use it at your own discretion.
  
  
• Install the mods in the order you are presented with them. If you fail to do this, you risk running into bugs, many quite significant. Note that you'll still encounter some warnings on installer mods even when doing this, but those warnings are normal (errors, however, are not).
  
  
• Don't attempt to continue an old save after installing these mods. Unless they're just texture files which do not contain files of the .2da filetype, once your game is modded any previous saves you have should be treated as incompatible.
  
  
• Overwrite any files when prompted. Most of the mods in these builds are fully compatible, but some partially overwrites a part of another mod. These cases are where the install order matters; I have purposefully tailored the installation order so that mods that have compatibility issues are overwritten in the proper order for the game to function as intended, and for all of the changes we're making to be seamless.
  
  
• Do not keep .tpc and .tga with the same name in the overrride folder. Those are the main textures extensions used for modding in kotor 2, if for any reason you see textures not displaying properly it can always be tracked to texture conflict. You will probably have a few duplicated .tga and .tpc after installing this guide so always keep the latest texture file in the override folder and delete the oldest. You can use this mod[www.nexusmods.com] to easily locate the duplicate files.
  
  
• Following this guide you will come across to types of installation lose files and executables known as TSLpatcher for the loose files always drop them on the override folder located at: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\override', unless told otherwise in the instructions.
  
  
• For TSLpatcher installs always extract the files and point to where the swkotor2.exe is located usually on 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\'. Executing the TSLpatchers you will run into warnings during installation. Those are normal and thus can be safely ignored errors are not. Never run the TSLpatcher from inside the .zip file.

Download the steam version and copy all the .gui files (except equip_p.gui) to your override

Just copy all the files (except KOTOR2Logo.tga as it'll be overwritten by TSLRCM, install that later if the load screen logo looks off to you. The downside is it'll look wonky on the main menu so for the Aspyr version there is no one size fits all solution) from the first folder to your override

Download the version for your resolution as well as the patch for the same resolution and replace everything in your Movies folder with the extracted files not the override

Download and extract "Individual component installer" folder and run the TSLpatcher for:
