Preventing Sonic Forces from deleting your save data.

If you are reading this post, this has already happened to you, same as me. Welcome to the boat of sadness :(
It seems like SEGA isnt going to fix this issue so there is a small workaround to preventing the game from deleting/overwriting your save data anymore.

1st fix - Turn off your Steam Cloud for this game. (Properties>General>Cloud Synchronization) For unknown reasons, Steam Cloud usually keeps a clean empty file of this game whenever It synchronizes It.
2nd fix - Before turning off any playthrough, back up your save data. Its in the "savedata" folder on the root of where you installed the game.
3rd fix - Check your file integrity of Sonic Forces.
4th fix (If you have mods) - Check If any modification doesn't conflict with the save data system of the game, It may be trying to do something and by that conflicting the normal save data system present in Forces.
Anyways that's literally everything, no huge fix cause Sega abandoned this game leaving this huge issue on this port :(

P.S - If you had Forces on an HDD your data might not be lost entirely, look up data recovery software on the web (easeus the goat should do the trick or any software that will recover 5 megs for free). Maybe you still got a chance!
