Avali sounds

Adds chatter and hurt vocalization sounds to the Avali species, inspired on their default hurt sound.

It also works with Player Voice! A mod I highly recommend to fully enjoy these changes!


- Added sounds for the Novali. Please let me know if you run into issues whether you are running Novali or not. I tested them both and I didn't seem to have any.


Q: But... why?
A: Because I always found it odd how they use the same sounds as the humans, especially when their default hurt sound is like a high pitched squeak, so I made new sounds based off that single squeak. Now their voice is high pitched, squeaky and plush-like, to the point you may end up squeezing them.
This mod also adds different vocalizations for male and female, as opposed to the default hurt sound which was the same for both.

Q: There was already a hurt sound. Why replace it?
A: For consistency sake. The default hurt sound was actually pretty good, but it was a bit different from the chatter sounds in this mod, timbre wise. It was also the same sound for both male and female.
Since I had the means to add those extra sounds, I decided to go for it. If you really don't like this change, you can always unpack the mod and remove the .species.patch file from there, which is what commands the replacement for the hurt sounds.

Q: Is this compatible with...
A: I have a godawful amount of mods and I didn't have any issues, including, but not limited to Fracking Universe, Avali Objects +, Avali Plus, FDEngine, TerraLib, etc. It should be compatible with anything that doesn't replace the vocalization sounds for the species.
All it does is add new sounds and two .patch files for the game to look into those files. One of the .patch files replaces 'ouchNoises' and the other one adds the 'basenpc' chatter sounds which didn't seem to exist in the default Avali Triage mod.
The only requirement is that you have the base Avali Triage race mod, as this is an add-on for that mod. It will crash your game if the base mod is not installed.

Q: Will this break my universe?
A: You should be able to install and uninstall this mod without issues. This mod doesn't add any new content

Q: Crashes!
A: Weird! Make sure to paste the relevant info from the starbound.log. Also make sure the mod isn't conflicting with anything else, and if it is, see if you can locate which mod is causing it.
