This guide will help you find all the secrets in Quake II 64.

Quake II 64 was originally released for the Nintendo 64 and features an almost entirely different set of levels. Unlike the original Quake II it is completely linear. While the levels are still grouped together in to units all the levels are played in a set order and there is no back tracking between levels. Make sure to discover all secrets before leaving a level.

Enter the small outside area that has purple water (). Jump in and swim underneath the platform to find the secret.

Reward: Shells x2, Armor Shards x3

In the same area as Secret 1, ride up a small platform () that is attached to the chain near the crate conveyor belt. When you're high enough jump on to one of the crates () and then jump over to the secret ().

Reward: Invisibility

In the room with lots of moving white crates drop down to the lower level. Destroy some barrels () near a cracked wall () to find the secret.

Reward: Super Shotgun

When the message "Shoot button to open a secret area" appears do as it says and shoot it (). A wall on the left () will reveal the secret.

Reward: Adrenaline

Near the start of the level walk on to some brown crates () and then jump over on to the nearby ledge to get a secret Combat Armor ().

Reward: Combat Armor

After crossing over the blue bridge in to the room with the security terminal (you will blow this up with Explosive Charges later) look to the left of the room. Jump on to the thin edge () and then walk through the fake wall ().

Reward: Quad-Damage

In the room where you acquire the Explosive Charges look in the corner near some barrels to find an item hidden in the darkness.

Reward: Adrenaline

After opening the first door look straight up to see a shootable switch ().

It will activate a wall () directly in front of you to reveal a secret.

Reward: Jacket Armor

While working your way through the green laser beams take a left. Look for a stack of several brown crates. Jump up them and shoot the vent that has an "X" on it to reveal a secret vent.

Reward: Ammo Pack

In the room where you acquire the Data Disc look behind some crates for a broken vent. It can be destroyed to access the secret.

Reward: Medkit x2

As soon as you start the level look straight up to see a shootable switch ().

Shooting it activates a nearby wall secret ().

Reward: Medkit x2

In a small outside area look to the right of the stairs to see a shootable switch ().

In the same room look for a secret closet () that has opened.

Reward: Silencer

Press the green button () near a computer and the message "Pump deactivated" will appear.

Turn around and jump down on to some crates in the lower level to grab an Enviro-Suit (). This makes you temporarily immune to acid allowing you to jump in to the acid pit () and find a secret.

Reward: Megahealth

After disabling the gravity drive head back up the steps in to a corridor. Look straight up near the orange panel to see a shootable switch ().

Shoot it and start heading back down the stairs to see an opening above you (). With the reduced gravity you will be able to jump in.

Reward: Quad-Damage

In the part of the corridor next to a window look up to see a cracked vent. Shoot it to make it drop a secret item.

Reward: Megahealth

This secret is missable if you are not quick enough. As soon as you see the words "WARNING! Liftoff in progress." a spaceship will appear out of the floor. Quickly jump down in to this hangar () as soon as the spaceship flies off. If you're not fast enough the doors will close and the secret will be missed.

Reward: Rocket Launcher, Rockets

In the room where you pick up lots of Explosive Charges jump on top of this crate () in the corner.

Look very carefully to see a small button () built in to the side of crate. Push it to reveal a secret wall ().

Reward: Combat Armor

NOTE: If you're playing on Easy or Normal difficulty then Secret 3 does not exist. This reduces the secret count to 3. Hard and Nightmare have 4 secrets to find in this level.

Shortly after placing the first Explosive Charge you will find an elevator (). Walk on it then quickly back off and look underneath the elevator.

Shoot the shootable switch () to make a nearby computer move () and reveal the secret.

Reward: Adrenaline

Near a window overlooking the blue spinning rings look for a green button () on an orange panel. Pushing it will make a nearby wall move () to reveal a secret.

Reward: Shells, Rockets, Medkit

If you're playing Easy or Normal difficulty then this secret does not exist and can be skipped.
Before placing the final Explosive Charge look carefully at the left side of the machine. Next to a Grenade you can see a pushable switch (). Activate it to move a nearby wall () to reveal a secret.

Reward: Quad-Damage

In the room with two black crates destroy the left one () to reveal a Jacket Armor.

Look down the gap behind the Jacket Armor to see a shootable switch () that moves a nearby wall ().

Reward: Rockets x2, First Aid

After taking a small elevator up look for an panel in the wall. Shoot it to make it move and reveal a secret HyperBlaster.

Reward: HyperBlaster

After picking up the Blue Key turn around to see a green push switch ().

Get close to the switch and look up to see a shootable switch () that when shot allows access to a wall secret () on your left.

Reward: Adrenaline

Look for a conveyor belt with white crates on it. At the end of conveyor belt is a secret item.

Reward: Body Armor

After climbing up a pile of crates to reach a door, turn around to see a thin platform () running down the side of the room. Carefully walk on it and follow it round the corner ().

Press the green push switch here then look down to see a wall () has moved below revealing a secret.

Reward: Stimpack x5, Invisibility

While walking down a corridor look between two large metal pipes to see a recessed shootable switch (). Shooting it will move a nearby wall () and reveal a secret.

Reward: Medkit, Quad-Damage

Look for a strange rock/crystal formation in the middle of the level. Shoot the surface of the water () to destroy the ice covering it and swim down for some secret items.

Reward: Stimpack x3, Combat Armor

In the room where you find the laser drill, head over to the back () of the large stack of crates.

From here look for a black crate () you can destroy allowing you access to the middle of the crates and a secret weapon.

Reward: BFG10K

After leaving the room with lots of crates look to the left of the corridor and shoot a metal wall. Climb the ladder inside to make your way up to a secret area.

Reward: Power Shield

Near the end of the level after climbing a stack of crates turn around to see a dead body and some items on the other side of a gap. Jump over there to discover the secret.

Reward: Slugs x2, Body Armor

At the start of the level, carefully inspect the ceiling near one of the pillars to see a shootable switch (). Shoot it to lower a nearby stack of crates for a limited time.

Ride the crates () up to reach the secret item ().

Reward: Megahealth

You'll drop down in to a cramped area filled with crates under a moving platform. Look carefully between the crates to see a shootable switch () that will open a nearby secret ().

Reward: Combat Armor

Shortly after reaching the outside section some enemies will ambush you from behind. Head in to the closet they came from and shoot the ceiling vent to reveal a secret item.

Reward: Quad-Damage

Soon after riding over the lava there will be an entryway. Before you go through look to the right of this and in a dark corner you'll find a secret.

Reward: Quad Damage

After riding up the pumps and large gear, turn around to see an item in the distance. Jump on to the smasher () when it is safe and then quickly jump on to the small steps () jutting out of the side of the platform. These will let you reach the platform holding the secret ().

Reward: Combat Armor

After climbing a ladder near the start look up to see a broken vent. Shoot it to drop a secret item.

Reward: Invisibility

In the room with the two insane Prisoners look carefully at the ceiling to see a shootable switch (). Shooting it activates a secret wall () near the Prisoners.

Reward: Rockets

After blasting through a wall you'll immediately see a pool of liquid ().

Jump in and look for a dark hole () underwater to find a secret.

Reward: Quad-Damage

After destroying a Gladiator and picking up the Red Key that they drop, look for a nearby cracked vent. Destroy it to get in to a secret room.

Reward: Combat Armor

After disabling the energy core using a green push switch you will be ambushed by one or more Icarus enemies coming out of the ceiling. Look carefully at the ceiling where they came from to see a red shootable switch () that moves a wall () to reveal a secret.

Reward: Adrenaline

After riding an elevator up to a room look in the corner of the room between some computers to see a closet () with some items in.

Head inside and look up to see a shootable switch () on the wall. It activates a nearby wall () allowing access to the secret.

Reward: Quad-Damage

In the room with the yellow water look in the corner by a pipe to see another smaller pool of water (). Swim down to find a secret Quad-Damage.

Reward: Quad-Damage

You'll eventually work your way to the upper section of the yellow water room from Secret 1. Look behind a metal pipe to find a secret item.

Reward: Adrenaline

After breaking out of a pipe and climbing a small ladder, look at the crack in the wall by a green floor light. Shoot the shootable switch () and look back the way you came to see a stairway of blocks () is now jutting out of the wall. Head around and climb the ladder to get up to them then ascend the stair blocks to reach the secret.

Reward: Medkit, Rockets, Slugs

After riding the platform over the acid pit look up as you ascend the curved stairs. Shoot the shootable switch () while standing directly underneath it to be raised up to the secret ().

Reward: Adrenaline

After activating the circular crank the message "Waste drain opened" will appear and you will be ambushed from by some enemies appearing from a closet. Inside the closet is a Jacket Armor but if you look at the ceiling there is also a shootable switch ().

Shoot it to move a nearby wall () which is near the crank.

Reward: Quad-Damage

You will enter a large room and you will see a BFG10K on the other side of the platform. Look up at the top part of the wall to see a shootable switch () that will open a secret door () next to the BFG10K.

Reward: Adrenaline

While riding up the first machine turn around to see a hidden recess in the wall containing a Quad-Damage. Quickly jump over to reach this secret.

Reward: Quad-Damage

In the room with the black and yellow striped platforms and gap between them, look for a metal brown platform () that rises up.

Jump on it and after riding it up jump off to a nearby ledge () to find a secret item.

Reward: Megahealth

At the very start of the level you will be facing a black elevator (). Walk on to it then quickly back off to reveal a hole down to a secret area.

Reward: Body Armor, Power Shield
