so as a dev (ok, game designer, but I have worked in the game industry) yeah I'd also love to see this come back but it'd need to have paid subscriptions or something because server costs kill beautiful gems like this like nothing else.
That, the possibility to play solo or just with friends instead of toxic PVP servers, and all that isn't easy to do and I definitely don't have the cash or the team to go make a game like this lmao
It could do with some PVE content like sky-whaling or NPC ships or something, or events like the Sea of Thieves encounters, well there's years of programming work, now to find someone to willingly do that whilst being underpaid...

I was one of the original backers that payed out the ass for this game i just my 16 year old selfs allowance worth of fun and adventure. or at least a way to LAN party this game.
