The finer details about passenger train stations and bus stations.

*clears throat* ahem:

Do passengers move between train and bus stations if they are in range? It would seem logical as buses can not service train stations.

Why do I have passengers at train stations trying to get to bus stations and vise-versa?

Why is the passenger/mail icon counting down and what happens when it finishes?

Why do I have passengers using one station going to and from 2 completely different stations? For instance, a passenger going from A to C but showing up as a passenger at stop B.

Why do my buses and trains not pick up every passenger? Especially confusing when the station is at the end of a route.
Answers (From Devs)
Firstly, I want to express my gratitude for your feedback. It's incredibly valuable to us. When you're developing games, you can quickly become accustomed to your own design and lose the fresh eyes of a player. What seems obvious to us may not be so for players, and vice versa.

To answer your questions:

Yes, if a train station and a bus stop are within proximity, passengers can transition between the two to reach their destination. This is designed to reflect how public transport links work in real life.

When you see the passenger/mail icon counting down, it's indicating that a passenger has decided to travel on their own instead of waiting for your company's transport. This is part of the game's attempt to simulate real-world behaviors, where passengers might choose alternative modes of transport if service is not up to their expectations.

As for your queries about passenger behaviors and the lack of pickup by your buses and trains, it's important to remember that the game is still in active development. The passenger system (like many other systems in the game) is not yet finalized and will undergo several iterations until we are fully satisfied with the results. The current systems may contain bugs or inconsistencies that result in unexpected behaviors. This is why the game is in early access, and it's why feedback like yours is so important.

Regarding visualization, this is a separate aspect of gameplay that we know needs improvement. A more comprehensive visualization system would certainly help players understand where passengers are going and how they're getting there, among other things.

Lastly, I would like to sincerely thank you for your feedback once again. It's through insights like yours that we can continue to improve and refine the game to provide the best possible experience for our players. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue this exciting journey of developing Voxel Tycoon.
