解説

Where Origins represent the Past of a civilization and Civics represent the inner workings and current state of a civilization, Ambitions represent what a civilization is striving for, or also: the Future of a civilization.

Ambitions are supposed to add more variety and roleplaying elements in a way that feels natural to the game. I'm mostly working on trope-focused Ambitions for roleplaying, but also trying to implement them in a sensible manner to support fitting gameplay archetypes such as wide or tall. There is no limit to how many Ambitions you can have, however each Ambition reduces how likely it is for another Ambition Event to fire.

Ultimate Ascension
Ultimate Ascension is the Fantasy of breaking the limits, and going even further beyond. This Ambition is triggered by unlocking Ascension Perks and it's Ambition Quest is to complete any Ascension Path.

Golden Rule
This one focuses on the Galactic Community and its conditional Quest is to own the Galactic Market Station. It's unlocked passively by having high trade value.

Galactic Extinction
I don't think I need to explain this one. "The galaxy is teeming with life, but not all of it is worthy of existence."

Ecological Harmony
This Ambition is themed around studying and protecting the unique ecosystems in the Galaxy. You gain access to a new Planetary Decision, which takes up to 25 Years to complete and can only be used on uncolonized Planets. Expect the Event to pop up after surveying planets.

Colonization Fever
Currently the last Ambition is one focusing on Wanderlust - Your Pops have a yearning for adventure and want to seek out new planets to colonize and explore. Chance to appear when colonozing planets.

Future Contents

I've ideas and plans for even more Ambitions in the future.
You can expect the next Ambitions to be focused on the One Planet Challenge, Megaengineering and Espionage.

Balance

While Balance isn't the priority, I'd still like to find a decent compromise between Roleplaying Potential, Interesting Gameplay and Balanced Gameplay.
With this Mod being still in an experimental phase and largely untested, I need feedback and criticism to get it right. Keep in mind that due to the nature of this mod, your Galaxy Settings will affect Balance even more than usual.

No Vanilla files are being overwritten.
No known incompatibilites. Let me know if you run into any issues.

If you look at the date of the comments and if you go page a single page, you'll see that the author last reply was from 2023. I'm not playing this right now, but I'm still subscribed to a few interesting discussions.

ANYWAY, given that it's been so long, it's probably safe to assume it doesn't work anymore. Unless the author corrects me, in which case I shall swallow my words.

@Peter34, the last update was march 14. I think it's best if you subscribe to this comment section and unsubscribe from the mod until the author responds. That's what I do. Or you could try your hand at fixing it yourself.

I'm serious. I can't use this mod, if it sometimes forces me to choose between options where I can't see the consequences.

I've only recently resumed playing, so new to this mod. When the window pops up offering me to accept an Ambition, sometimes the Accept button shows me a tool tip that explains what the Ambition does, but other times there's no tool tip. Please fix that, as it is extremely annoying to be asked to choose a thing when I can't see (in-game) what it does.
