Logistics Planning - Every Important Building Stat at a Glance [Base Game]
By S1D3WYZ
This is not a touchy-feely guide on how to group your pineapple plantations or jewelry factories, and it won't tell you what kind of dictator or diplomat to be. This guide WILL tell you what kind of workforce you will need for whatever your strategy is, how to optimize your own custom blocks or nodes.

There are plenty of great guides that show what kind of buildings are most profitable per worker, and other effective strategies, but I couldn't find a statistics-heavy, by-the-numbers, in depth building guide including category, era, dimensions, road requirement, worker education and salaries, service capacity, type and wealth, electrical grid requirements, and upgrades for at-a-glance reference when laying out an island, or planning a specific city block, so I hope this guide can help anybody else looking for more background info on how the different cogs in the Tropico machine interact with each other.

  • CW - Cold War
  • MT - Modern Times
Width x Depth
dimensions are given, (road connection side if required in parenthesis)

Maximum number of workers, their required education level, and salary range dependent on budget. Service capacity, type, and minimum wealth requirement. These are base figures, not taking into account any edicts or dynasty bonuses.
    Education
  • * - Illiterate / Grade School
  • ** - High School
  • *** - College / Postgraduate
    Salary / Wealth Requirement
  • $1 - Broke
  • $2 - Poor

Modifier
    Only upgrades that affect
  • Workforce - including number of staff and education requirements
  • Population Served - including number served, wealth requirements, or category
  • Power consumption
  • will be listed here.
There is already a great deal being presented in this guide. For focus' sake, and to keep from becoming overly unwieldy, upgrades affecting consumption, production, quality, satisfaction, efficiency, and the like will not be listed.

Enjoy the Guide
I tried to be as thorough as possible while maintaining accessibility for this guide, so I hope it helps somebody out there looking for the same thing I couldn't find. If you think of a way to improve on the information or the way it's presented, please leave a comment below.

Nice guide. Planning for the future is important in T5 and knowing proper dimensions is vital.

This... is a very well built, clear and easy to read set of tables. A very well structured guide. Thumbs up for you!

No problem, thanks :) - couldn't find any city planning guide relating to size and workers for this game, so I really just went to sandbox to note them all for my own ease of in-game reference using the overlay - glad you find it useful as well :)

Is all the information presented clearly enough? Anything confusing? Anything I should add, without getting into strategy or becoming overwhelming? Any errors you notice? (I did this in one marathon 18 hour session, back and forth from sandbox to making tables, moving through the different eras)
