Quick way to fix the fps
It Seems like Ray Tracing is always enabled, although it seems to be off in the ingame settings.

1.Set all graphics options to off/low in the game. (DLSS on balanced or w/e)

2.Close the game and open %appdata%\Fatshark\Darktide\user_settings.config using notepad.(C:\Users\*YOUR_USER*\AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide)

3.Make sure the following settings are set like this:

rt_checkerboard_reflections = false
rt_light_quality = false
rt_mixed_reflections = false
rt_particle_reflections_enabled = false
rt_reflections_enabled = false
rt_shadow_ray_multiplier = 0
rt_transparent_reflections_enabled = false
rtxgi_enabled = false
rtxgi_scale = 0
4.Once this is done you should notice a big FPS bump that's more inline with what you'd expect with your setup. You can tweak any settings you want ingame, just don't touch the RTX ones.

This also seems to fix the constant FPS stutter during a match.
If the config file keeps resetting, set it to read only after changing the parameters.
The Emperor protects.

Note: There was a hot fix and it's probably not needed anymore since other rtx options are now functional and few lines that don't change aren't in effect anymore with the root of rtx setting itself.

If you want other details on tweaking the lights textures etc. I would suggest looking into some fps config file. Otherwise light quality medium is prob best looking and least taxing before things turn pixelated or bad.. Mix of medium high settings so like high textures etc. but medium shadows and light settings volumetric fog medium/low , disable lens quality if you dont like the extra noise from light. I play on balanced upscaling as its the nearest to performance and quality.
But I have 3070 and it's not sunshine and all either with performance there. So for 1080ti I reccomend mix of medium low with high textures.

i will say, outside areas still look like shit. something about feathering the lights around corners really messes up

Thank you Honda Civic, that worked for me aswell. Did the thing -> got the flickering -> adjusted the values like you did and it seems to work.

it's possible the blinking lights are by doing this with non RTX cards. i have a 1080ti, but i was able to fix the flickering by setting rt_shadow_ray_multiplier = 0.5 and rtxgi_scale = 0.2

i honestly dont remember if these are default values, but it fixed the flickering

i also set rt_light_quality = "high" before i did those, and it didn't fix it, but it may be a prerequisite to the other options working to fix it
