⚠️ This mod is made for 1440p+ screens ⚠️
A "dark' version of the Proper 2K UI Project mod with ~700 photoshopped interface assets.

Why?

Because I prefer using darker themes in everything possible so why not in EU4, too?
And after searching for a dark UI mod in the workshop I sadly only came across mods that were a combination of a) Most of them were straight-out black which did not make them look very pleasing (imo) b) Some were way overdone in what they changed, and c) Were outdated... which after experiencing first-hand how monumentally tedious it was to create this relatively simple mod, I think I understand now why that is lol 😑


NOTES
- This is a submod. The Proper 2K UI Project mod is required for it to work
- Ironman compatible by default but you will lack the scaled, white minimap shown in the screenshots above (can be found inside of a .zip archive in the mod's folder)
- Screenshots shown in the gallery above are from the 4K version of the mod, but there shouldn't be any difference between the two aside from the font being displayed (It, too, can be found inside of the "Alternative Font" .zip archive in the mod's folder :D)
- I have not been able to find a solution for the alerts banners overlapping 😔

The alerts at the top of the screen are slightly misplaced since today's update. Is that something you can easily fix?

Updated for 1.35.

Important change:
From now on It's a submod of the Proper 2K UI Project, thus you'll need to have the main mod installed and enabled for it to work (it has been added as a required item to the workshop listing). This change was made to simplify things from my end, as it means that I can update and implement fixes on the main mod without having to ALSO apply them separately to this mod which is how I used to do it and was quite simply a nuisance lol... so, in the future it should be updated as soon as the main mod is.

Very minor change that was eating at me: The event window is now also dark 😌

Mod is outdated.

Please use the non-Dark UI version in the meantime as that one support 1.35.1. I'll be updating this one in the future but couldn't tell you rn exactly when that'll be. 🫡

When loading a game by clicking Single Player, then the Saved Games, it doesn't change from the Historical Start tab

Hi LuvianQ, thx for the reply. Great work on the mod. I'm using the 2K version. Is that also going to be out today? Dark will follow later and thats perfectly fine :)

Hey.

I'm currently working on the 4K UI mod, which should be released today. 2K Patch (regular version) will follow shortly after.

The DarkUI versions will take a bit more time since I have to go and manually photoshop all of the new UI elements xD... So yeah, keep an eye on the regular version for now :) DarkUIs have lower priority over the regular versions.
