Al Salman 2.0

Description
Al Salman 2.0 is a semi-fictional adaptation of the small town in the Al Salman District of Iraq. It is located in the Al Muthanna Governorate. This is an upgraded version of my Al Salman map released in 2019. It is complete with a brand new satellite image, normal map, roads, new micro details, bug fixes, a whole new portion of the city with over 10 villages and hamlets dotted around the desert and road sides.

Based on the 2003 invasion of Iraq but also fits the 1991 Desert Storm invasion. Al Salman is surrounded by massive oil fields with a main highway heading north to meet the Euphrates. An Iraqi Airbase is located to the north east of the map with multiple military checkpoints along the main roads and city area.

- 10x10km in size.
- Urban bazaars with compound and roof combat in mind.
- Two large city areas with a muslim graveyard.
- Loosely based on the real area around Al-Salman.
- Multiple military checkpoints.
- Custom Saddam murals and posters.
- Micro-terrain for desert combat.
- Created specifically for infantry patrols, mechanised and tank combat.
- Vast oil-fields to the south of the map.
- One airbase situated in the north east.

A module can be found under Environment to remove the garbage patch clutter. It can provide a slight FPS boost if needed.

Yep figured it out, was the ragdoll mod I had that was causing an issue with ACE Medical, swapped it out with another and it's all fixed, sorry for that

test without them and check, arma mods sometimes cause real weird issues that have nothing to do with what you would expect

@Corporal Ray Person it's not something that I've came across before and isn't something that you can change when making a terrain. The ground is the ground no matter what technically. I'd check other mods you have running as it's either script based or something else.

So I've noticed an issue, on the map bodies in specific areas will actually just fall through the ground after they've died. Might be worth looking into if you ever do

This is the perfect Desert Storm map! I love the detail. I enjoyed putting some T-72 vs M1A1s with the oil fields burning in the background. Now we just need Sgt Slaughter posing as a "heel" in the town lol. if someone smarter than me could make a non-ACE DRO mission for this, I would be very grateful.
