What I can't work out is how the choices the game presents you with could possibly influence which ending you get.
None of those choices involved the character in a position to change the outcome...
Surely you don't literally just choose the other endings from the main menu?
I chose the option that gave me an achievement for the 3 choices given. I guess befriending everyone = true end
But then again, it's also nice that not every visual novel follows the exact same 'dating sim' style approach, especially one that's a murder mystery, so I can't complain too much.
Prologue is just a quick tease of the story.
Act 1 sets up Noriko's situation and introduces all the characters. There's also a lot of plot and plot twists here. It is the majority of the game by far.
Act 2 shows us Kojiro's perspective. For the most part, this isn't a shocker. We knew from Noriko's perspective that he wanted her. His perspective just shows how... desperate he is about that. It also gives us an outside view of how fucked up Noriko has become.
Act 3 is about Aoi and her crazy plans (first to support Noriko, then to become better than Corpse Girl, then to kill and replace Noriko).
The Finale and endings cover a few different possibilities of the Noriko vs Aoi fight.
