@High Ground Thanks for the fix. Saved me time looking for the issue.
@John McCreedy Either you have both a local mod with the same name and are subscribed to the mod at the same time or the portraits are made with the reversed order of the new and old character portraits in which case you should try the Remastered Human portraits mod instead. The only difference between the mods is what order the new and old portraits are in.
THE DIY FIX:
Default Steam Workshop file path of the portrait file we need to edit:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\2808669452\gfx\portraits\portraits
1) Right-click on the file "07_portraits_human"
2) Edit with Notepad++ (google for download AND do not use windows' notepad!!!) or if you have windows 11 use note pad.
3)[Ctrl + F] to find all the "hair_selector" words and replace with "attachment_selector" in one go, then save.
4) Enjoy! Ps. Same fix applies to other SE mods eg. SE Humanoid, created by by MnCnN. May he/ she be at peace for making this awesome mod! <3
Reposting this with an edit: I'm not a modder nor the OG author and thus cannot upload an edited file :( Just know a thing or 2 about basic modding and shared the fix. PEACE!
