Yea, I just looked it up and they seems alike, but the angles I found seem to be more humanoid, some like an orange eye thing?
So maybe?
either that or just some fancy thing to look like an alien

after having seen the Rei Ayanami doll prop in the map, which is a reference of Neon Genesis Evangelion, I think this *might* be one of the Angels from that show, but I don't know for sure.
