MOD IS NOT WORKING FOR v. 41.73
The changes introduced in 41.73 do not allow the mod to work.

Features
This mod allows to tweak Holsters' and Belts' weight reduction. By default it is set to 75% for Holsters and 30% for Belts (= standard vanilla value), but both can be changed by the player using Sandbox Options. To change the settings mid game you can use Change Sandbox Options mod. Requires reload after change.
Side effect
As the game does not allow modifying the weight reduction of attachments in form of parametrization, the mod performs a bit of a hack that results in incorrect weight "when not equipped" shown in the tooltip when an item is in holster.
Existing saves
The mod should be compatible with existing saves.
Compatibility
The mod should work on all vanilla and custom items that provide (holsters) or use (pistols, etc) attachment slot of type 'Holster'. For belts it serves attachment slots of type 'Hammer', 'Screwdriver', 'Knife', 'HammerRotated', 'Nightstick', 'Wrench', 'MeatCleaver', 'Walkie'.
Requirements

There is a mod called HotbarFactor_java that requires a manual installation but changed this hardcoded 30% weight reduction to be changed again. Maybe update this mod to include it?

@NotTildaSwinton TBH I have no idea. This is in java class file, I don't know how java works in terms of decompiling and recompiling. It would however probably break some other weapon extensions features, as they did this for a reason I assume.

Is modifying the base game's files to undo the implementation of "getScriptItem().getActualWeight()" something very hard to do for people who play single player and have practically no experience with programming? Would it even be possible? Sorry if this is a very silly question... I am just very sad that they broke this mod

TIS changed one of the methods in a way they should not have, because it is just bad programming. I submitted this as an error on TIS forums, but got no reply from the devs. I see no other way to achieve the functionality. You can try to put some pressure on TIS. Here's my report:

Ah just when I was looking to get back into the game. This is such a shame. Is there really no way to revive the mod?

Rip, i loved this mod, it made using the belt slots and holsters bearable by not punishing by making praticaly the entire gun's weight into your main inventory.
Back to not using holster at all and having to grab the gun in and out of the backpack every single time so i dont get weighted down by the 2 ton loaded 19mm pistol.

R.I.P this mod will be dearly missed . Some of the weight set by game vanilla game are straight up ridiculous and this mod helped a lot to mitigate that without editing every items weight separately

MOD WAS KILLED BY 41.73
Dear subscribers, changes made by patch 41.73 unfortunatelly killed EHT. I'm very sorry, but it is no longer possible to perform modifications needed for the mod to work, unless TIS change certain implementations. :stress::hunky_skull:
