Thank you for this guide - a friend in speed.
-First, make at least one complete, start-to-finish run at each precision run. The time you get doesn't matter.
-Next, make backups of your saves, just like with the method given.
-Next, open each of the files at <BNG dir>\User\Save\Precision\ with a hex editor, and edit ONLY THE FIRST BYTE (two digits) of each save file. Change it to "00" to have no medal, "01" to get a bronze, "02" for a silver, "03" for a gold and "04" for a platinum. Having all golds or better will permanently unlock the Precision Delta for custom races and any custom campaigns that allow the ship...not that it's worth much, with how slow the damn thing is.
SIDEBAR: giving yourself all golds, campaign-wide, *will* net you the achievement for doing so as of 1.3-d29, as will all platinums. Same with the precision runs and DLC stuff.
