If you still have your boots/shoes you can just throw a boot/shoe at one of the glass door 2 times and that should open them and allow you to escape.

Some traps also have the blue rods which allows you to disable them. However doing so uses up a boot, but it is useful if the room has a multitude of traps and seems borderline impossible to navigate.

Finally you can cheat death in half dead 3.

If you press yourself up against a door and throw a boot in the middle it will break both things and let you out with one boot
