Koninginnebrug

The Rotterdam Koninginnebrug (Queen Bridge) will open and close for ship traffic. Place the bridge on top of a ship path or ferry path, and it will open to let them through. You can use the included Koninginnebrug Road and Column to extend the bridge to the width of whatever body of water you are crossing. You can find the bridge in the road intersections menu, or with FindIt.

The bridge will not open for vessels that are so low they fit under it, they will pass without delay. Adjust the height of the bridge with Move-it if traffic isn't stopping, or if it is and you don't want it to.

You will need to subscribe to the Custom Animation Loader mod and the Movable Bridge Mod. Fine Road Anarchy is needed to place it over a Ferry path. And, because there is a lot of texture re-use, the Loading Screen Mod is recommended.

The Rotterdam Koninginnebrug is a double leaf bascule bridge that was completed in 1929 and remains in use to this day. A relatively sober design form by architect A.H. van Rood, though he did seem to have a weak spot for party hats.
