I actually updated the winter's howl to fix the crash with that though. The doncombine just didn't like trying to remove it once it was already removed, so I just cleaned up the code of the winter's howl to only try to remove entities once, and the doncombine got removed without crashing.
At the end of the day though it's a really niche crash, and if there's nothing you can do then nevermind.
