Raspberyl's Trash Pickup evility also works as an alternative to throwing stuff. (It also insta-kills Geo Levels Spheres which helps when their HP scales along with the enemies, making them kinda beefy for weak characters to take on.)
You 'should' have an overgrowing stack of Gency's so there is no con to doing this even if you can't handle the enemies there. I have also used ladder attacks in Martial Training 5 with a build specific to killing Carnage Item Boards at max difficulty if I didn't feel like burning up Gency.
The only defensive evility I have on nearly ALL characters is Softening Aura since I often have a second Sage on the field casting Decimator, or maybe I left a support character without Boorish Counter within retaliation distance.
Honestly, the Magic Change stat boosting evilities didn't a pile of gamebreaking stat numbers by themselves but Double Bladed, Fusing Souls and Bond of Soul fit neatly in the first row, while Double Bladed Plue and Weapon Fusion fit neatly on the second.
I believe the single greatest perk of Magic Changing is getting hands on higher stat weapons earlier than if you spent time slowly grinding on weapon items in the Item World. And if your Leveling, Class Mastering, and Shard/Extract farming isn't a walk in the park yet, it should help!
I also have Greedy Disposition, Power of Bowls, and Super Sis Legend (Female user only) on most of my monsters. There is a very obvious stat difference when Magic Changing with/without them.
