"The idea for this theme was suggested by a friend... The idea is based of artwork made by service men and women while in the trenches of war....

There are many examples of this work that can be found and not just from world wars. I tried to capture a hand carved look to this theme as there was no machinery at hand for them to use in the trenches.... The main tool of use was a pocket knife.....Parts of this gun have been inlaid with spent shell and bullet casings found on the battlefield..
