Vampire Portraits

Descripción
DEPRECIATED

Unfortunately I don't have the time to keep this mod up to date. Please follow this link for an updated version maintained by Otsioge : https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3459744990&searchtext=

Made mainly for my own personal use to accompany the new necroids content. Includes various re-skinned human portrait assets to match the classic image of vampires from European folklore. Exported with full animations with Paradox's rigs.

The male portraits are a little lackluster, but I will likely add to this mod over time.

You can find the portraits under the added "Undead" species class.

Update 04/11/2020:
Reduced the saturation on some hairstyles and replaced some male hairstyles to fit personal preference.

Update 25/11/2021:
Finally updated the version checksum.

Update 27/11/2021:
Added a custom namelist based on Warhammer Fantasy

@DaBiggman go to steamapps\workshop\content\281990\2271209736\common\species_classes

then edit 69_species_classes.txt and replace everything below line 14 (the stuff at the top is just comments, the section should start with UNDEAD = { etc) with:

NECROID = {
archetype = BIOLOGICAL

playable = { has_necroids = yes }
possible = { authority = { NOT = { value = auth_machine_intelligence text = SPECIES_CLASS_MUST_NOT_USE_MACHINE_INTELLIGENCE } } }

randomized = { has_necroids = yes }

gender = yes

custom_portraits = {
randomized = { has_necroids = yes }
playable = { has_necroids = yes }
portraits = {

}
# These should not be used for randomly generated species
non_randomized_portraits = {

@Stekkjastaur - how did you do it? My group would also like to do this.
Stekkjarstaur 28 SEP 2022 a las 16:13
Would it be possible to move this portrait from "undead" to the default "necroids" category? Rn you can't pick necroid exlusive traits from mods like Species Diversity or origins like Necrophage as vampires. I've already modded my local version to fix this

Also, thanks for the update! Playing as vampires with a subrace of Humans Necrophaged is so much fun.

I see. Ty.

@barricadedpurifier

No, I intentionally set it up that the portraits are not used by any procedural factions, including primitives. This is to avoid duplicate portraits being used.

You can still start the game with an AI faction using the portraits. You just need to make a faction using the portraits and then force spawn the faction.

Ah thank you :) Right now I just use debugtooltip/play X then change the name of the empire manually lol.
Love this mod btw.
barricadedpurifier 27 SEP 2022 a las 0:05
I forgot to ask but the game can make primitives from them right?
