About:
This is the final version of de_rush, the 4th map of d00ds following de_losttemple, de_cpl_fire and de_nightfever. de_rush takes place on a small island, where you easily could spend your next holidays. Back from nightfever you'll find yourself in a warm and sunny environment, just in time to fight back a terrorist attempt to ruin your vacation day. So don't forget your sunglasses ...

Story:
"Cannab Island" is under current terrorist attacks mostly blackmail. It wont take long before the terrorists execute more aggressive plans. A small counterterrorist unit has been dispatched to deal with the situation. Nobody knows yet what the terrorists are up to. So prepare for everything.

Layout:
There are 3 main routes in the map: to the left rushing the beach to enter A, through the middle walking up the pier giving the opportunity to attack both A and B, to the right through the cave storming B. Both teams start closer to bomb spot A but have still a fair chance to attack/defend bomb spot B. The map includes 40 spawns.

De_rush_v2 was quite possibly my all-time favorite CSS map with its great gameplay and aesthetics, but this port is disappointing. The textures are all directly ported save for an ugly orange retexturing of Bombsite B and changed (and missing) foliage. The lighting is too dark as if it were sunset. While the shadows are improved, they're not soft like the original. Also, one lantern won't stop swinging.

The worst part is the ocean. It's now an ugly, flat effect where you can easily see the boundaries. The beautiful soundscape is also missing, killing the atmosphere.

Aside from that, the gameplay is mostly the same. Bombsite A has thinner pillars and the window is easier to jump to. The crates have been replaced with ice coolers. You can now jump to the archway at T spawn without boosting, which seems like a mistake.

I really hope the author can fix the ocean and empty soundscape, because that would make this a perfect 10 for me. I'd really love to play it online someday, too. +1

Prob my favorite map .. Could it be possible for you to make B bombsite easier to defend? and http://sp.zhabite.com/id/GulartN/screenshots/ the 4 first ones are what i saw on your map that was wierd :D :D :D :D Great Map
