This is the core mod of the AQD - Combat Balance modpack.


This mod rebalances various aspects of combat in SE. Armor health as well as block health in general is buffed and the various weapons are brought more in line with sensible values.

AQD - A Quantum of Depth is a project of mine, encompassing multiple small and larger mods aimed at improving the gameplay experience and eventually overhauling larger parts of the game:





Block HP Rebalance
Light armor block now receives 0.5x damage and 0.2x deformation. Heavy armor receives 0.5x damage and 0.15x deformation.
  • Less deformation means less adjacent blocks get instantly destroyed by any amount of deformation.
  • Light armor is not completely useless anymore (small grid light armor used to have 100HP, while a single gatling shot did 150HP of damage).

Steel Plate and Interior Plate integrity doubled.
  • Blocks derive their HP from the components they're built from. Increasing the HP of these components results in a general increase in block health.

  • Gauge - Writing the original code for the script to adjust armor DamageMultiplier and DeformationMultiplier for his mod Balanced Deformation.
  • Klime - Fixing a performance issue with the way the script worked.

There are some mods that do this more elegantly if you're using WC, but yes it should still work.

Sure, though I would recommend (if you are going to use it with WC) to do it via the WC method.

This is such a great mod, been using it a long time. Thanks for making it! Even though I know now there are several mods that let us edit dmg resistance and deformation.

Glad to hear this has WC integration in one of its component parts, looking at mods for an immersive/realistic experience.
