Moss is a grass-like plant that grows on stone blocks. With the latest update 1.4.0.1, three types of shiny mosses appeared, Krypton, Xenon and Argon, which grow in shiny moss caves, areas much larger than ordinary mosses. Only one type of shiny moss can be found in each world (lava moss is not considered a shiny moss, although it also glows in the dark). They are found in the areas of the Caves, mainly above the lava layer that was at the edges of the World, but not under the Spawn area.

With this update, four things appeared that motivated me to do this Guide:

• The mechanics of Seeds that bring the possibility of people sharing Worlds;
  
• The moss can now spread;
  
• The collected moss can be planted in Stone and Gray Brick;
  
• Added Krypton, Xenon and Argon Moss.

This Guide intends to inform The Seed of Worlds for you to collect these shiny mosses, they are very beautiful. I think it is necessary to put the same size as World, the same difficulty if it is corruption and crimson (besides the Seed itself) when creating the World to collect the moss. Otherwise, different worlds can be generated and go wrong.

Argon moss is one of three shiny mosses added with the new update, its collar is pink.

Xenon moss is one of three shiny mosses used with a new update, its color is blue.

Krypton moss is one of three shiny mosses used with a new update, its color is green.

Before the Shining Mosses appeared in Terraria, it already had 6 mosses: red, brown, green, blue, purple and lava moss.

With the exception of lava moss, the other moons appear randomly in the underground cavern, scattered around the world. Lava moss appears in the lava layers of the cave, but if harvested it can be planted at any level, just like all other mosses.

Red, brown, green, blue and purple moons can appear in "moss chambers", where the moss spreads over the back wall. I intend to bring in this Guide seeds from the world where the location of all these types of "moss cameras" appears, but I will also indicate the location of mosses without being in these cameras.


With the recent update 1.4.0.1 mosses can now be crafted into Moss Walls, and vice versa.

Each generated world comes with three types of mosses. Then you won't get all the mosses in your main world. So you don't have to keep generating Worlds trying to complete the entire collection, I made available the seed of these Worlds and the location for you to collect these mosses. Although the lava moss appears in all the generated Worlds, I put the lava moss, in case you are having trouble finding it in your main World.

Just like with shining mosses, you need to put the same information (the seed, the difficulty, the size of the world, the evil biome) that I did. In the tests that I did it seems that you can put the name of the different World that also works.
