Social links are an incredibly important part of Persona 4. Leveling them up gives you bonus XP when fusing new Personas and more! However one social link is entirely different to the others. The Empress, Margaret. Her social link requires you to fuse an exact persona with one spell that they otherwise wouldn't learn.

First of all, this link can't be done straight away, in fact you won't be able to complete the final request until you're around level 70! Either way, if you do go ahead with completling this social link, I have a huge recommendation for you.

REGISTER THE MATCHING PERSONAS IN THE COMPENDIUM!

Why you ask? Because this means on future playthroughs you won't have to go through all of this effort again, instead you can simply purchase the required personas from the compendium and easily power your way through the Empress social link with little-to-no effort!

Anyway, let's get on with trying to impress Margaret!

Firstly, Margaret's social link isn't automatic, it is hard to miss however. If you want to get an early start on it, then you need level 3 knowledge. Once you've got that, go to the Velvet Room starting from March 3rd to begin the Empress social link.

Note: The Persona highlighted in bold is the one that knows the required move.

First of all, Neko-Shogun requires a method called Cross Fusion, which is not unlocked until July 20th.

Ok, now this is where things start to get a little difficult. Neko-Shogun can only be fused with 4 specfic Personas. They are (Chariot) Ara Mitama, (Strength) Kusi Mitama, (Priestess) Saki Mitam and (Temperance) Nigi Mitama. However, I believe none of these Personas actually learn Bufala naturally. So this fusion takes two steps.

Step 1
(Emperor) King Frost & (Magician) Hua Poa = (Strength) Kusi Mitana. (MAKE SURE IT LEARNS BUFALA FROM THE FUSION, OBVIOUSLY.

Step 2
(Chariot) Ara Mitama & (Strength) Kusi Mitama & (Priestess) Saki Mitama & (Temperance) Nigi Mitama

RANK 6 - BLACK FROST WITH AUTO-SUKUKAJA

Like the previous fusion, Black Frost can only be made with a exact Personas, thankfully this method also unlocks on July 20th like the previous method. So once again, we need to do multiple fusions to meet this request.

(Hierophant) Anzu (Learns Auto-Sukukaja at level 20) & (Temperance) Slyph or (Temperance) Apsaras = Pyro Jack (MAKE SURE IT LEARNS AUTO-SUKUKAJA)

RANK 7 - YATAGARUSU WITH MEGIDO

OK, this is a big one that will require a Hexagon fusion, there's a couple of different ways of approaching it though.

So that's it! You've completed the Empress social link and impressed Margaret with your unique fusing abilities. Upon reaching rank 10 she'll give you the Spiral Brooch item which will let you fuse a powerful persona known as Isis.

Also, after you leave the Velvet Room, go back in and Margaret will give you the Deep Blue clothes set which makes you and your friends look like Velvet Room Assistants.
