King of Fighters Leona Voicepack

Omschrijving
"You...can't win."

Some background info: Leona (レオナ, Reona), also known under her codename Leona Heidern (レオナ・ハイデルン, Reona Haiderun), is a character introduced in The King of Fighters '96 as the new member to the Ikari Team. Her official nickname is The Silent Soldier (サイレント ソルジャー). Aside from her appearances in KOF, she's also made playable guest appearances in Metal Slug as well.

First try at making a voicepack. Mostly used lines, with some editing, from KOF 14 and SNK Heroines. All lines are voiced in Japanese, so if you wanted another Japanese voice here ya go. Tried to make what she's saying line up with the actions, unlike some voice packs where they figure you don't understand them anyway so they don't bother to align those details. Still, there's going to be some overlap as fighting game characters don't exactly have tons of dialogue to work with.

Sheesh, nothing about mod making is intuitive at all, haha.

Woah I actually read the 4 pages of comments. I guess I'm a sucker for schoolyard fights.
The author was right to be annoyed. Artuurs was acting like this game doesn't have a ton of official available non-English voices for its international troops. The hell was wrong with him? He may not use the Spanish/French/Italian/etc options for non-American soldiers, but a lot of us do.

Is this compatible with WOTC? Seems like exactly what I've been looking for. It bothers me that my Japanese soldiers don't speak in Japanese, and Leona is a perfect stand-in for Japanese female troops.

Thanks for this. It bugs me there were no Asian language packs in the base game a bit, so mods like this are really an absolute win for me. I like hearing my Japanese/Korean soldiers speak in their native language like my Russian/Italian/Spanish etc troops do.

And what considerations? It's a fucking free fan mod, there are no considerations besides what I want from it. If it lines up with other people, than great, if not then go away.

You're basically walking up to a table with free cookies and going "Oatmeal Raisin? But I like chocolate chip, and oatmeal raisin is gross! More people like chocolate chip than raisin, you should've made oatmeal raisin cookies instead!" Then when the people at the table say that if you don't like them, then just don't take a cookie and leave, you go "I'm just trying to give constructive criticism, why are you mad?" Like fuck off.

It's not a product, I'm not putting it out for focus group testing. You keep trying to say how "you're just suggesting things for improvement," but what you don't realize is that your "improvements" are completely irrelevant to what this mod is. So again, fuck off already.

(3/4) You see, thats a garbage strawman argument you just made there, there is no latvian game character in existance (unless you can count the 1 class from Dino D Day i guess but i actualy never heard latvian spoken) for you to compare to, and i gurrantee you, if there was, you know what else would come with that game? And english option for that latvian, and im not upset knowing most people would skip that option and put it on english, because it is what most people understand, like it is for me, i honestly prefer english over my own, that way theres no barriers, no obstacles, just pure clear communication that you dont want out of spite it appears.

Yeah but you see, the thing is, i dont talk latvian, to english speakers like yourself, it makes no sense since you wouldnt understand it, just like making this voice pack makes no sense because nearly no one would understand it, thus this pack loses alot of appeal and effect, you made this to appeal to only 1 nationality out of many in the world, which, there are ofcourse players of this game from there that will enjoy this but, it could of been more people from a more competent pack with a better aproached mindset you didnt come with at it.

You're the one over here saying how you just "want it to be improved." Improved by what metric? If you don't like Japanese voiceovers, then just fuck off. Why don't you go to all the other non-English voicepacks and complain about how they're too niche too. "Why is this Korean D.Va from Overwatch voicepack in Korean? Don't you know more people speak English than Korean?" Fuck off.
