Windows 10, Steam & Nvidia Optimization Guide
So, I made a small compilation of FPS Optimizations you guys can do if you're using Windows 10, Steam and have a Nvidia GPU, specifically. If you're using a different version of Windows you can find most of the options listed in this guide. If you're using an AMD GPU you can find most of the options listed in this guide, too.

1: Steam > Library > Conqueror's Blade > Properties > Uncheck the ''Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game'' option.

2: Steam > Library > Conqueror's Blade > Properties > Set launch options > write -fullscreen (won't make it true fullscreen but might or might not make a small difference) or you can use a program called Borderless Gaming to force fullscreen but again, it's not going to be a true fullscreen.

3: Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Program Settings > Add > Search your Conqueror's Blade .exe (proven_ground_client.exe)> edit the settings listed below:

Power management mode > Prefer maximum performance
Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample > OFF
Texture filtering - Quality > HIGH PERFORMANCE
Texture filtering - Trilinear optimization > ON
Threaded optimization > ON
Vertical sync > OFF (related to monitor, thus, optional)

4: Locate your Conqueror's Blade proven_ground_client.exe, right click it, go to Compatibility and tick Disable fullscreen optimizations, apply & ok.

5: Make sure your Windows, GPU drivers and Java are up-to-date.

6: If using Windows 10 go to Task Manager > Startup and disable anything that you do not need (especially if startup impact is high).

7: If using Windows 10 go to ''My PC'' (or whatever yours is called), right click > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Adjust for best performance. Now, select the advanced tab in the same window go to Virtual Memory and select System managed size > Uncheck ''Automatically manage paging file size for all drives'' > Custom size > Initial size put in the same as your recommended and Maximum size do the recommended size times two (x2) mine being 2714 so I'll put in 5428 > Set > Ok > Apply

8: Look up tutorials of how to reduce Windows' CPU usage... It mainly consists of turning off almost everything in the Windows Privacy Settings and App Permissions... or simply type Privacy Settings in your Windows' search bar and disable almost everything other than what you actually need or use.

9: Go to your main drive where Windows is installed (C:) > right click > Properties > General > Disk Cleanup (make sure to do regular virus check-ups and virtual cleaning of ALL your drives. I personally use Advanced System Care. (Do not ever use the Driver Booster).

10: Install FPS Monitor https://fpsmon.com/en/ --- Adjust your video settings in-game and play with them and pay attention to your FPS, GPU % and CPU % - tweak your settings accordingly. If either your CPU or GPU is bottlenecking, play around with it... Select higher graphics if your CPU is bottlenecking and select lower graphics if your GPU is bottlenecking.

11: **ONLY PEOPLE WITH EXPERIENCE WITH COMPUTERS SHOULD DO THE NEXT TIPS** CREATE A RESTORE POINT !!! This will reduce your Idle & Gaming CPU usage by 10-15%!!! --- Windows 10 Debloater --- DOWNLOAD https://github.com/Sycnex/Windows10Debloater --- Run Windows10DebloaterGUI , Copy everything, Open Windows Powershell as Admin. Press CTRL+V to paste. Once everything is done (You might have to scroll all the way to the bottom) Type ''yes'' --- Once the .exe opens, click ''Remove Bloatware'' , ''Disable Cortana'' , ''Stop Edge PDF Takeover'' , ''Uninstall OneDrive'' , ''Disable Telemetry/Tasks'' , ''Remove Bloatware Regkeys'' Each one of these will have a short delay to run the script so be patient.

12: Create a restore point and download https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TJp1BE0s_6ZqzeZshiCmxbYNQfpnNXkZ/view - You can right click it and open it with notepad first and read what it's gonna do... I would suggest removing the last two commands at the bottom which are related to your mouse... Once that's done, save the file and run it with registry editor... Restart your computer afterwards.

Here's a bottleneck calculator to know which one of them is the problem. https://pc-builds.com/calculator/).

If you have a CPU that's unlocked, play around with the overclock ONLY if you have watercooling.

DO NOT run a browser or any other programs while playing - i.e. Chrome, Firefox, Explorer... It will soak up your CPU usage and as you know, the game itself takes about 60% to 100% of what's available. If you're going to use a browser while playing, I suggest a gaming-focused browser such as Opera GX.

Last but not least, obviously, if your computer is bad... Well, time to upgrade it !

Before all these changes, I was playing with huge variations between 30 and 60 fps. Now, I have a consistent 60 to 120 fps DURING MATCHES no matter what... the biggest fps drops are when the trebuchet shots are going off for obvious reasons or simply just server issues.

Thank you very much, it has improved a lot. In any case, it is noticeable that the game does not use all the CPU or the graphics card, it is quite poorly optimized. The fact that there are hundreds or thousands of characters and bots at the same time on the map doesn't help either...

Tried this and I crashed during almost every siege, no idea what went wrong. I also didn't see much of an improvement in frames anyways.

So when playing my first 1-3 battles my fps is fine, however when playing after that it stops using my cpu and gpu ad much and my disk usage goes up dramatically causing the map to not be loaded in, my character stuttering around with no animations tpose horse riding floating heads etc. This only happens if I play battles too many times in a row. I’m forced to restart the game to fix these issues
