It's more luck-based (especially Toy Bonnie, and a bit the left vent animatronics) than it is hard. Once you get the strategy down and you know what to do and when to do it, you just need to hope for some good RNG and act accordingly to individual situations. I tried Golden Freddy mode when the game came out, but gave up because of that until I came back now to beat all the FNaF games on stream. Golden Freddy mode definitely is one of the hardest challenges though.
