The first order of business before you put your rental office together is to go to HR/Manage Teams, select Core, and change start and end times to Plus one hour to start and plus one hour to end = 7:am - 5:pm.
Next with Core selected click on HR Management and select the following...
Handle Wages= Check, Handle Complaints= Check, Role Selection= best fit, Education level ONE,
Tip: Once you start to hire you should look at changing the start and end times back to normal!
Specializations= System, 2d, Audio. Preferred age 25, Salary Medium.
Before you start asking about everything else, leave it as is!

Office:
Equip your office with:

• three ceiling lights.

Tip: When clicking on an office it should read, “400 lux”, “200%” environment.

Marketing/Deals
Before you start your contracts, go to Market/Deals, click on Filter, and select all to de-select everything

Development/Contracts
Select contracts and sort logistics, Games, and Embedded. You can select one of each to start. Keep in mind the Required Quality as this is important! Select Horrible, Bad, and Mediocre if there are any. Arrange them in the same order. You will only fill the design on Horrible once, Bad one and a half, Mediocre, two and one half. Play with this and learn when to move to develop so you always produce "Outstanding Products" This is very important; as this will move you quickly to a three-star business reputation! Why a star business reputation? So you can move away from contracts and into the more profitable Design Deals!

Why Design Deals?
Once you select a design deal you will have guaranteed income for the term of that deal. Much more lucrative/profitable than contracts!

Development Deals
You can also use Development deals to train your programming teams while also bringing in the cash!

Do contracts until you get three stars and then go to Market/Deals, click the filter, and select Design. You should be offered a few design deals, sort by price, and select the longest term out that is nicely priced, make sure you have the talents/skills to complete.

Finances
A good strategy is to purchase your own stocks until you own the company outright. Once this is done and you have a nice cushion of cash to pay your day-to-day, start putting the excess into savings.

Now that you have a good idea as to how to own your company outright and save some cash, you also should look at getting some help early on. A few things to keep in mind here are, who to hire that will continue to bring in money and help you start producing your own applications.
Start with getting a designer,

Tip: is to get what you don't already have. So I would suggest a System/Audio designer preferably one with two stars in audio, and one or two in; system.

Tip: Stay away from Stress/Lazy workers!


First Application
If you want you can start putting together an Anti-Virus application early on by yourself or hire a designer to do Design Deals while you work on your own application.
Tip: Get a publisher to do the marketing and reduce the expense by granting exclusivity

3D Application
Once you have the finances in place and have an antivirus application making you a few million; look at putting together a 3D team as soon as you can so you can be the first to market with 3D.
3D will be the big moneymaker if you get to market first with a great product and solid marketing. Do not use a publisher for this unless you're marketing team is nonexistent. My first 3D was good and still made me millions because I was the first to market.
Tip: always go for great or outstanding with plenty of Marketing to ensure your application is successful

So that is it, best to be smart; keep your eye on expenses, and always look for Great or Outstanding work.

Tip: Go to options/General and deselect "Office Danger" to stay away from thieves and fires in the early stages of learning how to get your company to profitability. You can always go back and replay with these once you get better at the game.
