Conqueror's Blade: Foundation Guide [WIP]
By SUP3RM4N and 1 collaborators
In Conqueror's Blade, there is a steep learning curve, some may have found it the hard way. I started this game wanting to min-max and make correct choices from the start as many players do. I found that information on the game isn't just limited, but majority of players are still trying to figure things out. So, I started on my journey to bring as much information I have gathered from vets and top tier players as I could. I hope you find what you are looking for here, and if not, please, post in the comments!

In-Game Currency

Bronze Coins

The basic currency in Conqueror's Blade. You recieve Bronze coins from almost everything you do. You require Bronze Coins when buying items, salvaging, creating units, healing units and much more. Bronze Coins will be needed throughout your journey, and as such should take care not to squander them.

Farming for Bronze Coins is best done in VS AI battles. This is because the game will last, on average, around 5-6 minutes. In that time, as long as you get a decent rank, you will net around 3K Bronze Coins.

Silver Coins

Silver Coins have similarities to Bronze Coins but are much harder to aquire. Silver Coins are used for crafting and buying from the market. Silver Coins should be hoarded and used sparingly. Farming methods are not as easy and simple as Bronze Coins.

Farming Silver Coins can be done by [WIP]

Soverigns

Soverigns are obtained by purchase through Steam Store or Conqueror's Blade website. This currency is used to purchase a variety of items from the ingame store such as chests, skins, and consumables.

Conquest Tokens

Conquest Tokens are rewarded for completing Battle Pass challenges. These challenges are what is associated with the Season in progress. There is a Seasonal Store which you can buy skins and other premium items with the Conquest Tokens collected.
Intro to Basic Troops
When first starting your journey to become the best Conqueror's Blade player you can be, the many units available might seem overwelming. This section will help you break down the first tiers of units, and their uses. These are not the best units in the game mind you, more units you need as a staple in every Conqueror's Blade's army.

These units are also some of the cheapest to resupply and heal. So using them to farm for Bronze Coins, EXP I, II, III and sieges are exactly what they were built to do. Maxing these units need to be a priority as you save your Bronze Coins, Silver Coins, gather mats and create kits. Rushing end game units will only hinder you, and leave you wanting. Trust me, I learned this the hard way.

Melee Troops

Serfs
Serfs are the best gatherers hands down. You want your serfs to be leveled to at least Lvl 7. This will increase their strength, or the number of individuals within the unit. This will also increase their resource production by 40%, decrease the food they consume, and decrease their resupply cost. **Additional detail in farming section**

Pike Militia
Pike Militia are cheap and amazing early unit. One thing to learn early on, is braced units are not something you want to walk into. These units are great against cavalry units to include their charge. When bracing they can also do well against normal infantry who walk into their pikes looking for a fight. Be warned, this does have a weakness, flanking and being attacked from the rear leaves them vulnerable. Lastly, Pike Militia can also be a good hero killing unit. You can surround a enemy hero and set them to attack, making there no roll out room and your unit with stagger him to death.

Ironcap Swordsmen
Ironcap Swordsmen are another cheap and versitile unit. This unit is a more upgraded serf and downgraded Squire. Ironcap Swordsmen are decently cheap to resupply and heal, making them a great unit to max. They have the ability to charge into shield walls and ranged units alike doing amazing starter damage. One thing to note, their charge can help against a cavalry charge, just expect some loses.

Ranged Troops

Ironcap Archers
Ironcap Archers are one of the first units you unlock in the ranged unit tree. They are cheap and good starting ranged units. Ironcap Archers do not have the largest range but will outrange the firearm troops. At later levels, there are options for increasing their range. This will give you a upper hand to those that chose a different upgrade path and lower level archers alike. These units are also used to accompany your serfs when gathering. **Additional detail in farming section**

Ironcap Arquebusiers
Ironcap Arquebusiers are another great option to max. They have the ability to pierce through shields and if close range within a enemy Hero, can instantly decimate them due to their higher damage than archers. This does, however have drawbacks. Their range is shorter than archers, leaving them vulnerable to enemy archer fire. Their accuracy follows suite, making them very inaccurate at long distances. Another negative would be their fire rate is slower than of their arrow counterparts. However, their upgrade tree does allow for bonuses to their accuracy and fire rate.

Mounted Troops

Coutiliers
Coutiliers are a relativly cheap cavalry unit best used to charge into flanked enemy units or ranged units. These units, much like any "charging" unit is not desiegned for sustained combat, but to charge and be reset for another charge. Beware of pikeman and braced units.

Chilvaric Troops

Demesne Spearman
These units are known as the cheap Spear Seargents. Demesne Spearman are one of the first cheap and decent shield wall units. These units are also used to surround enemy champions so they are unable to roll away from combat. Great unit for holding points or choke points on the field.
Troop Line Recommendations
Intro to Troop Line Upgrades
This section of the guide will be aimed primarily at recommendations for upgrading your troops. As you see in the example, each unit has it's "Max Level" which determines how many veterancy points it can receive. Follow these line upgrade recommendations for best performance out of the box.

Farming and Gathering

This game is more than just the battles in which you wage. The journey to mid tier and higher units will be the art of crafting kits. Without crafting the kits that are needed for the units you will spend a small fortune trying to heal units or build them outright. Crafting kits are simple to do but will require daily gathering of materials, even if you believe you do not need them.

Technology

A good tip to remember is that you need to level up your "Technology". The tab can be found by pressing "U" and selecting the appropriate tab at the top. Gathering from resource nodes grant gathering XP. This XP can be used within the technology tab to enhance your gathering experience. This is a must for the game as the devs have spent a lot of effort to create a F2P experience.

Crafting and Silver Coins

Keep in mind, to craft materials and kits will require silver coins. It typically can take up to 3k Silver Coins to refine the proper materials and crafting the unit kits. Don't worry too much though, as you will gain Silver Coins in many of the quests, dailies, weeklies and vaults. One easy way to gain Silver Coins, is to do your weeklies and retrieve the keys as rewards. Each vault will net you around 3k Silver Coins among other items.

Units Highly Recommended for Farming and Gathering

The units you take with you when you leave the Fief is very important. Not only can you not swap out units while on the world map, but each unit has it's own designated amount of "labor". More labor you have, more material you can gather each pull.

Now depending on if you are gathering alone or going in a group will determine which loadout you should bring. Gathering as a group will help with the pesky rebel units that patrol the world map. Reminder, damage to your unit in the open world results as needing to either heal the unit or resupply the unit.

Serfs are the best unit for gathering. Getting them to lvl 7 ASAP, grants a larger size in the unit and increases the resources gathered. Taking 4 Serfs is a must, but the 5th unit is up to you. If gathering in a group, you can have 1 person designating as the escort, taking good units to fend off rebels. If you are going to solo farm, or do not wish to rely on others, you can always take 4 Serfs and 1 Ironcap Archer.
Crafting Materials and Unit Kits
In this section we are going to talk about the different resources that can be gathered and where to find them. Also, in this section, we will touch base on what refined materials are required for the unit kits.
