Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink has a total of 19 Steam achievements, of these 11 are missable and the remaining 8 are story related, as for completion time, this is in the region of 3 hours.

To ensure the swiftest 100% possible I would advise following this roadmap to completion...

MAIN GAME.
Start the Main Game selecting the expert mode difficulty and during this playthrough...

• Do not skip the first 5 cut scenes in-game (the one that plays before the main menu is not counted). As soon as the "MOVIE WATCHER" achievements pops, you are free to skip from here on if you so wish.

• Do not skip ANY puzzles, there are 2 achievements relating to not skipping them.

• Make sure to grab all 30 collectables (there are 4 achievements related to these), a full list of collectables and their locations can be found after the achievements section of this guide and my video walkthrough also shows all collectable locations.

• From the start of the game, make sure to speak with every NPC that you meet, every time that you meet them. This is required for the "PEOPLE PERSON" achievement, and it is easily missed. If you are unsure about the exact requirements of this achievement, watch my Video Walkthrough Part One up to the 8:37 mark which will show all the people and when I spoke to them to earn the achievement.

• From the start of the game, make sure to interact with any notes, letters, newspapers etc that you come across to earn the "THAT PAPER SMELL" achievement. I honestly can't imagine anyone missing this, but, if you are unsure about the exact requirements of this achievement, watch my Video Walkthrough Part One up to the 2:32 mark which will show all the items I interacted with to earn the achievement.

• Lastly, complete one of the hidden object game with "no more than a single misclick" (a misclick is clicking on an item that is not on the list of items for you to find at the bottom of the scene). There are 14 opportunities to do this in the game, I unlocked this achievement on the first HOG in the Main Game, as such I am unsure if this can be earned in the bonus chapter.

BONUS CHAPTER.
After completing the Main Game head back to the title screen, click play and select "Ink's Story" to play the bonus chapter (which becomes available only after completing the main game).

Assuming all achievements other than "PREQUEL" are unlocked (as all missable achievements can be unlocked by the end of the main game), you are free to play at which ever difficulty you wish and you are free to skip puzzles & cut scenes as you wish.

The final achievement is earned simply for completing the bonus chapter.

The achievements listed below are in order of which I earned them during my playthrough.

Inside the Hockwald Inn, crawls out from behind the beam in the top left.


Hockwald steambug #2: Papyrus phagus.
Hockwald Inn, Upstairs Corridor, crawls out from behind the painting on the left wall.


Hockwald steambug #3: Xyleborini Ips.
Hockwald Inn, Ruined Room, crawling up the fallen beam.


Hockwald steambug #4: Nix cimex.
The Gate, crawls out from behind the guardhouse, at the top.


Hockwald steambug #5: Pulveri pyrio ips.
The Zeplin Landing, crawling on the crates to the bottom left.


Hockwald steambug #6: Horae bruchus.
Hochwald Inn, Guest Room #2, on the chair backrest.


Hockwald steambug #7: Vapore lucernae odonata.
Hockwald Main Street, click on the lamppost on the bottom right, click on the access panel and the steambug appears and lands on the top of the lamppost.


Hockwald steambug #8: Vesica philia.
Airship Cargo Deck, crawling up the pipe in the top left.


Hockwald steambug #9: Sextant formica.
Airship Cockpit, on the map table to the right.


Hockwald steambug #10: Zwephyrus Odonata.
Airship Exterior, flies in from the right and lands on the above overhang, to the left of the rope.


Hockwald steambug #11: Nonvolans bruchus.
Runway Balcony, crawling around on the cupboard doors.

Castle steambug #1: Hortus cimice.
Frozen Garden, zoom in on steam vent to the left of the wall, the steambug is sat on the lantern.


Castle steambug #2: Carcer bruchus.
Dungeon, appears from behind the venting duct to the right of the door.


Castle steambug #3: Tineam coquina.
Kitchen, crawls up the wall from out behind the grinding wheel to the left.


Castle steambug #4: Golemus Parasitus.
Downstairs Lobby doorway, sitting in the top right.


Castle steambug #5: Coccinellidae orbi.
Salon, sitting on the ornament located on the table in the middle of the room.


Castle steambug #6: Lobby sphinx vespa.
Upstairs Lobby, sitting on the chandelier.


Castle steambug #7: Erratum phagus.
Study, on the ceiling, to the right of the hanging light.


Castle steambug #8: Fulmen Ips.
Hidden Room, moves along the back wall, behind the stuff on the table.

Underground steambug #1: Rhino bruchus.
Cave Entrance, on the stalactite to the top left.


Underground steambug #2: Lux fungi philis.
Bridge, sitting on top of the machine to the right.


Underground steambug #3: Threma Vespa.
Golem Parts Storeroom, use your bird to grab the red flag which will reveal the steambug on the pipe beneath.


Underground steambug #4: Numera cimica.
Differential Machine, zoom into the ladder and the steambug is sitting on the overhang to the left of the ladder.


Underground steambug #5: Lava formica.
Golem Factory, stood on the floor towards the back wall, below the saw blade.


Underground steambug #6: Talpa cicada.
Ink's Cell, zoom into the bed and the steambug is under the white sheet.


Underground steambug #7: Myriapoda farina.
Barber's Office, sitting on the pipes to the right.


Underground steambug #8: Tremor musca.
Central Part, crawls out of the left side of the tallest vertical pipe on the left.


Underground steambug #9: Vapor Venator.
Right Balcony, sitting on the pipe above the mine cart.


Underground steambug #10: Caementum cimica.
Left Balcony, sitting on the pipe above the sink.


Underground steambug #11: Fulgur Vespa.
Machine Bowels, enters from the left and crawls along the duct in the top left.
