The Intro
Recently I wanted to replay all Crysis games on Delta (hardest) difficulty, but was stopped by game crashes the moment the game would start. After trying to get the game working I just gave up and installed the GOG version of the game. Witch worked without any problems. That got me thinking what was diference between GOG and Steam version. It turns out that Steam has only 32-bit executable of the game working correctly. The 64-bit executable just spits out errors left and right when I try to run it. Thats when I got the idea of replacing Steam's version of executable wit GOG's version. And when I did so the game just worked. I was able to launch it from Steam and eventhe Steam overlay and FPS counter worked. Here I am wrighting this guide in hopes of helping someone so that they can play the game they paid for.
The Download
First you need to download Crysis Warhead Fix.zip that contains the necessary file for this fix.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/udzyed7h9g04iak/Crysis%20Warhead%20Fix.zip?dl=0

The file is 118MB in size so it shouldn't take long to download.

NOTE: If you don't trust the files linked for download in this guide, you can do the same thing by dodownloading the game from GOG and after installing copy Bin64 folder to steam folder.
Rename Bin64 to Bin32. Then inside newly renamed Bin32 delete Crysis.exe and rename Crysis64.exe to Crysis.exe and thats it.
The Fix
Now that you have downloaded the zip we can truly begin.
Inside Crysis Warhead Fix.zip you want to locate and open Installs folder.

Inside you will find 3 programs: directx_Jun2010_redist, vcredist_x64 and vcredist_x86.
You want to install all 3.

After that you want to open your steam Crysis Warhead folder.
Go to your steam library and right click on Crysis Warhead,
a little menu will show up and in it sellect Properties.

A new window will open and in it you want to click on LOCAL FILES tab

then inside that menu you want to click BROWSE LOCAL FILES...

That will open the install folder of Crysis Warhead.
Next you want to locate Bin32 and Bin64 folders and delete them.

Lastly you want to copy Bin32 folder from the Crysis Warhead Fix.zip to the Crisys Warhead folder.

Now you can run the game. Steam overlay should also be working.
The End
By using this method I was able to playthrou the whole game whitout any isues. The game only crashed once and that was after 4 hours of non stop playing. I played it on Ryzen 3 1300X, 8GB DDR4, GTX 1060 3GB with Windows 10 64-bit. All the files used to fix the game were obtained from GOG(Good Old Games) version of the game. Hope that after reading this guide you will be playing the game.

Thanks Valegator for this guide. Although I still have the last boss fight in Crysis on hard difficulty, after finishing it I wanted to switch to Warhead to learn about Psycho's adventures after separating from Nomad. I did everything as you suggested in the guide and if I have any problems I will write again, but I will definitely leave the guide in my favorites so that I can use it again sometime when I want to play the entire Crysis series again in the future and I will need it once again for Warhead.

Did not work. I tried to use this tutorial to fix another bug, the screen goes black during gameplay but the game keeps running and then the game screen reappears, especially when I'm driving a vehicle

Thanks for this. I have just tried to play the game in Win 10 64b and it just kept crashing so I uninstalled it. Now I can try again. This is the first time I tried to reinstall the game in a few years. For the record Crysis plays just fine.

The install location should have nothing to do with it. From images you can see that mine was installed on E: drive. If this fix doesn't help you run the game, your only hope is to torrent GoG version of the game and play that.

I've tried this and the game still crashes every few mins to desktop with no errors. Win10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X, RTX 2080. Game is installed to D: Drive, which maybe the game doesn't like..?
