UT-60D U-Wing Support Craft [Purrfect] Star Wars - Rogue One

I looked at my old catalogue and saw the monstrosity that once was a pretty U-Wing. So I started again from scratch, combining the footage we have form the film and several cross-section sources and from that this version of the U-Wing was born. With a dual cockpit, simpel weaponry and working s-foils this U-wing is all you need for your Space Engineers Role play scenario.

The single Reactor in the back compartiment is located for easy access, and also will be the weak-spot for this craft. Almost all thrust is located within the Engines, so beware of losing one. Repulsor Engines will keep the U-Wing steady on planets, but consume most of the reactors' power.

U-wings were manufactured by Incom Corporation. Their two wing-like strike foils, or S-foils, were retractable and could be positioned forward-facing or backward-facing depending on the situation. The movement of the S-foils was controlled by the S-foil articulation servomotor assembly. The backward facing, or flight configuration was used in combat situations as it increased the coverage envelope of the ship's deflector shields and helped radiate excess heat from the engine's core. The increased wingspan however, was often turned into an obstacle by rough atmospheric conditions resulting in the flight configuration primarily being reserved for high altitude and interstellar operations.
