Introduction
Hello and welcome to this little guide to the PvE-Elements of the Global Agenda-Recon!

In this guide I will explain the simple basics of how to play with both specs - Sniper and Ninja - as I like to call them.

It won't be long and will give you a little insight on how to play the recon.
The Recon overall
The Recon is a simple character which roles are to deal a high amount of damage in a short period of time.

To achieve this goal, he uses either long range rifles and precision or meele swords to hit the weakpoints of an enemy. Allthough his high capability of damage, a recon can't take much damage as he is specialized in stealth.

It is important to get as less damage as you can whilst dealing as much as you can. The easy way in an instance is to go the way of the sniper, the more active (and more dangerous since you're close to the enemies) is the path of the assassin. But there is also the way of the bomber, using his accessoires to blow up his enemies rather than to rely on a rifle or a sword.

In the next two chapters I'll explain more of it.
The Sniper
The sniper specializes in dealing high damage on a long range with his rifle - a single shot capable of taking out an enemy with one single shot.

Due to his low health you will have to hide yourself behind objects or around corners, then you have a single shot to hit the enemy before you should seek cover again. If you stay up longer you risk to get hit, and not like other classes, you only have your nanites to keep you up.

Since you usually have a stealth module with you, you should use it to get away from enemies when they get too close and seek another cover, to take them out from the distance. Unlike the assassin you're not as effective in the meele.

At bossfights it consists mostly out of stealth, aimed shots and your gadgets, you don't stand a chance in a direct fight. So you should rely on your stealth and your aim.
The Assassin
If you follow the path of the assassin, you're much more effective in hand-to-hand combat. You can take out an enemy by attack him from behind with your sword - but then you will have to watch out for his friends, before they get you.

As a meele, you will have to take care that the NPCs don't hit you back, so you will have to keep moving through them while slicing them into tiny bits.

Though, you're still not very durable in a fight, so you will have to keep an eye out for any ranged units coming towards you, especially mine throwers - they'd be the death of you if they score a direct hit because you didn't notice them.

At bosses you should rather use a decoy to distract them while you go beat them up from behind - or try to get behind them with your stealth module. Some bosses are fast turning, so you will have to keep running to avoid a hefty meele attack.

The Bomber
The bomber uses his explosive trinkets to blow up any resistance he may encounter on a mission - the only thing you have to take care of, is to find a good spot to hide while your cooldowns reresh.

The bomber usually uses stealth to get close to his opponents and then uses his bombs and mines to spread them.

Either that, or he grabs the attention of his enemies to lure them into his mines to blow them to pieces.

After this is done, you should retreat to a save position to recharge your cooldowns - you shouldn't draw the attention of the NPCs as long as you don't have your cooldowns.

At bosses it is the same as with normal NPCs - hit and run. Throw your bombs, lure it into your mines and run like hell behind the next cover.
Sidenote
Some of you may have expected to see some advice about how to set your points to achieve those specs.

But there is no "one spec suits all"-spec. It is rather your own job to find the spec which suits you.

For example the bomber - many people take the one they find in other guides, but some decide to rather go for a hybrid of Assassin / Bomber.

Try out different combinations until you find the one that suits you.

Sincerely,
Alister

I currently use a Ninja-Bomber Recon for PvE. I blast the guys with bombs and then follow with backstabs and blocks. The dps is pretty good so far.

Ideally the most effective PvE Recons are Sniper-Bombers. They generally carry an EMP bomb, a venom bomb and a Deconstructor for off-hands, a sniper rifle, and have a Shatter Bomb Boost. They're highly capable of offering extra damage to high-value targets and enemy healers, and are the go-to guys for taking down groups. In particular, their Deconstructors can prevent massive swarms of Alarm Responders from wiping out the squad if they're placed strategically.

A Recon doing his job can take pressure off his squad in no time at all. Very flimsy, so Medics are well-advised to train their healing devices on the Recons when Assaults (who should be tanky enough to survive a few seconds without healing) are accidentally drawing stray fire towards the Recons.
