Failed to find steam : Call of Duty 2

Here a quick fix to play COD2, some people get the error failed to find steam

1. Go to steam main folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
2. Find a file called Steam.dll, right click and copy
3. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Call of Duty 2
4. Right click and paste

The game should now work ok, this also works for Call of Duty and UO just follow these simple tips as above

I use W7 64 bit and the game work's fine so does this tip.

IDK, I tried installing it from CDs on windows 11 from my original purchase back in the day. It will not run, windows 10 and 11 do not support these games, you need windows 7 or lower.

I had a problem that the game freezes when I first start it.
I changed the compability to Windows XP SP2 in the .exe settings. Then the error "can´t find steam"
Your solution fixed it for me :D

i did those steps now it does not crash but shows the error ooooo2e4 i am on windows 10 if that helps
