Empire Size Rebalance

Beskrivelse
A very simple little mod that reduces the impact of systems, districts and branch offices on overall empire size so you don't need to control your expansion too heavily.

Districts: +0.2 per district (+1)
Branch Offices: +0.5 per branch office (+2)

@Nihil Thanks. Steam only lets you put people on your friends list as authors so send me a friend request if you do want me to put you in, otherwise ill just make sure I link back here from my uploads description.

@Thane-Stus Sure go ahead. I don't mind if you don't add me as an author I just put this together to solve a personal problem initially.

@Nihil Would you be okay with me uploading a version of this that works with my !Lots of Tradition mod? I can add you as an author on it if you want me to.

that feeling when you're playing vanilla, and you got your empire up to a size 1.1 k.... and got the achievement for owning 200 starbases... Def gonna add this to my collection though. I want big empires with big fleets rummaging each other for spare change. :p

Fair point. Though I don't think systems that rich are particularly common, the "tall vs. wide" argument surely makes sense.

Aztec - Not sure there really. A district provides 2 jobs and 2 housing slots...giving you 8 minerals/energy or 12 food as standard while systems can vary. Some systems have next to no resources while others have well over 20 resources.

The main reason I kept districts as the lower of the two is because the negatives from going over are intended for building wide more than for those who build tall where you would have more districts than systems.

If I were to give you my opinion; I'd probably reduce the size gained for systems more, and reduce the size for districts less. One district is almost always worth more than one system, so their size should be more, not less. Just a suggestion, though, do whatever works best in-game. :rghost:

That is why I made this mod... try as I might I couldn't find another mod that adjusts the values. I don't want to make this mod a way to never go over the cap though as I do think reckless overexpansion early on should still hurt your tech, traditions, etc.

So expect the values to possibly change as I am still testing them out. I want them to hurt you if you overexpand in the early game but not to the point that the administrative cap technology can't fix or at least reduce the problem.

Cool. I think this is one of the first mods around to actually do this, so this is pretty nice!
