General Achievements
"Experienced"
Earn your first Gold star.
Earn a gold star on any mission to unlock this achievement - you'll likely earn this one after completing your first mission.

"Big Spender"
Spend 10,000 credits on loadout upgrades.
Self-explanitory; you'll probably earn this from buying score boosters to earn gold stars on every mission, so there's no need to throw money at it haphazardly. Just buy what you need each time and you'll unlock this around the ending of Operation C.

"GEN2"
Use every Armor Ability at least once.
There are a total of eleven armor abilities to use. There are seven in the tutorial if you use them all and three that you can buy for credits. Use all ten at least once to unlock this achievement:

Active Camouflage
Airstrike
Bubble Shield
Proximity Mines
M2705 Field Regeneration
Overshield
Seeker Drone
Shock Chain
Sprint
Z-2500 Autosentry
Teleport
N/A
Mission 2 Achievements
"Mine Sweeper"
Do not get hit by any Proximity Mines in Operation E, Mission 2.
There's only a handful of mines in the beginning of the map and towards the very end, but you need to watch out for the Brutes, as they occasionally drop them as well during combat so it's best to dispatch them quickly. You'll need to avoid the initial explosion and the stray needler rounds that home in on you afterwards. Being touched by either will void this achievement. Go slow and you shouldn't have too much trouble with this one.
Mission 3 Achievements
"I Am Your Shield"
Keep the Elephant 100% intact in Operation A, Mission 3.
Easier than it sounds, you'll want to protect the Elephant from the point that you get on the Warthog. The Elephant cannot take damage prior to this and will not display a health bar. Once you mount the Warthog, it is important to note that you can damage the Elephant through friendly fire, so watch your aim.

There is no cool down on the gun, so fire constantly. When you come to a checkpoint, always advance as far forward as you can and eliminate whatever enemies have already spawned, as more will spawn once you lower the barricades. Between barricades two and three, there is a small fire lane that is not blocked by debris, so use it to kill the drones up front as shown below.
Remember to always check the sides, as the suicide grunts will target the Elephant, so make sure you watch all doorways and alleys and kill them before they get to close to the Elephant. Their explosions can injure it, even from a distance. Follow these steps and you should have no issues in earning this achievement.
Mission 5 Achievements
"Beam Dance"
Complete Operation D, Mission 5 without getting hit by a Focus Turret.
This achievement can be more annoying than anything. You're going to want to memorize where the beam turrets are located and use your teleport ability to jump behind them. Use your grenades, as there are plenty around the level to use on ever Focus Turret. It'll take two regular grenades, two sticky grenades or one Promethean grenade to destroy them.

Before you finish the hold out section of the level (the one with the timer), take the 5 stun grenades for the two elites and one Promethean Knight Commander. After you kill them, the end of the level will be just north. Congratulations, you've unlocked this achievement!
Mission 4 Achievements
"Not a Scratch"
Keep the Wraith 100% intact in Operation B, Mission 4.
This achievement is not as hard as it sounds. The first thing you'll want to do is hop in the wraith and head to the first gate. Before blowing up the generator, use your mortar to eliminate all the immediate enemy threats; they can't shoot back as long as the gate is still active.

After that, tread carefully forward and abuse the huge range on the wraith's mortar ability to kill any enemy presence as you slowly move forward. Before you destroy the second generator, park the wraith to the side because more Covenant troops will arrive once you blow the generator. Don't worry if they surround your tank, as they won't hit it if you aren't in hit. However, you can damage it so watch your fire!
About half way through the level it forces you to head south, making the range of the wraith useless due to the camera angle. Before you start going south, exit the tank and eliminate all Covenant forces until you reach the bridge from the previous mission.

Once you do, head back, jump in the tank and bring it to the bridge. Cross the bridge to end the mission and unlock this achievement.

"Night Knight"
Do not allow the Watchers to resurrect any Knights in Operation C, Mission 4.
This one isn't hard so much as it is annoying. The goal here is to not let any of the Watcher drones bring back any Knight you have killed. The easiest way to do this is:

  • Do not kill the Yellow Knights off screen. Either leave them alone, or lure them onto a portal and kill them. The reason being is when you activate the portals, Watchers spawn and will resurrect them off screen without you knowing. The best thing to do is ignore them.
  • When you stand on the portal, it'll trigger a set number of enemies. Bring any Knights to the center of the ring before dispatching them. This will force the Watchers to come to you, making it easy to control the bodies of any Knight you destroyed.
Mission 6 Achievements
"Vidmaster Challenge B"
Complete Operation B, Mission 6 with the Hollow and Pacifist Skulls active.
In this mission, you'll be handicapped by only having your shield as health (depleting it will result in death) and every shot you take will reduce your shield capacity. Luckily, this mission starts you with and gives you several Kestrels to use.

However, do not use the guns, as that will damage the Kestrel. Instead, use it to ram enemies to instantly kill them. This will not result in lowering the health of the vehicle. Before you arrive at the drop point and have to hold out for the Pelican, grab the battle rifle; it's burst fire can instantly kill most enemies and it's sustained burst will allow you to better control how much shield you deplete and how quickly.

Once you get to the drop point and are intstructed to hold out until the timer expires, use your grenades on the turret (grenades don't use health) start running. If you constantly run in circles and stick to cover, most enemies will have difficulty keeping up and landing shots. Use the battle rifle as a last resort and well-timed grenades will make short work of the Covenant soldiers.

"Vidmaster Challenge A"
Complete Operation A, Mission 6 with the Blind and Thunderstorm Skulls active.
For this mission, you'll need to activate both the "Blind" skull and "Thunderstorm" skull, which will disable your entire HUD and make the enemies stronger.

It's not as hard as it sounds though. Take your time and be deliberate in your actions and you should make it out just fine.

If you have the credits, it's highly advised to activate the damage booster to offset the Thunderstorm Skull.

"Vidmaster Challenge C"
Complete Operation C, Mission 6 with the Black Eye and Pacifist Skulls active.
This one can be quite difficult; you'll need to be very specific with the weapons and abilities you use to survive. In the start of the mission, ignore the turret, as using it will destroy it fairly quickly. You're going to want to keep near it in that general area though. If you brought the shield booster, your melee will one shot the smaller enemies, two shot the white knights and four shot the red knights.

Stick to melee for everything that isn't a red knight, using the binary rifle when needed. you have exactly enough stun grenades for one per red knight so when they get close, throw one and stun them. Hit them four times with your melee to kill them/recover your shield. Repeat this until this part is over. Now, head to the drop ship. There are grenades to the southwest, but avoid the knights (just run past them).

When you arrive at the drop ship, collect the sticky grenades and repeat the process of melee for the smaller enemies, stick grenades on the red knights to instantly kill them. When the drop ship crew lands, kill the Convenant grunts and elite and get in the ship.

"Vidmaster Challenge D"
Complete Operation D, Mission 6 with the Famine and Thunderstorm Skulls active.
This is probably the easiest Vidmaster challenge you'll do. Take the damage booster (shield booster if you're having trouble staying alive). Thunderstorm will make the enemies hit harder while
Famine will make all picked up weapons give very little ammo; this includes the ammo racks on the outside of the map. However, that won't matter because they spawn instantly once you pick them up, giving you infinite ammo for both the shotgun and battle rifle.

Another bonus is that the engineers have copious amounts of health and can take quite a beating. The added enemy damage doesn't translate to the NPCs, so they take the same damage as they did without the skull activated. Remember, too, that they only sustain damage when they are working the portal and have their health bar above them, otherwise they are immune to damage and enemies won't target them. With a little work and some skilled aiming, you shouldn't have much trouble completing this achievement.

"Vidmaster Challenge E"
Complete Operation E, Mission 6 with the Hollow and Black Eye Skulls active.
This last Vidmaster challenge can be, well, a challenge. With the skulls activated, you only have a shield and can only regain it by melee attacks. This makes keeping the turrets standing vital to survival because the damage taken is given to the turret and not your shield. First thing first, jump on the turret to your immediate right and get ready for a fight. Focus the Promethean Knights as best as possible. If they throw grenades and destroy your turret, simply restart the mission.

Once the initial wave is done, move to the turret below and fire off screen at the Covenant forces to kill them before they have a chance to attack, then focus north and destroy the group that is dropped off above you. Once you kill the two groups, head all the way to the left side of your map and drop your proximity mines, then run up and pick up the Overshield and the rocket launcher. When the Shade Turret drops, smoke it with your rockets and let the proxy mines destroy the Covenant that spawn.

Head north and wipe out all Covenant forces with your rockets and quickly take down the shade turret. Be wary of the white grunts, as their charged shot will kill you in one hit from full health. Head east just above the south turret and destroy the third and final Shade turret and any remaining enemies. Be careful of the Brutes and use your shield as needed. Once you've dispatched the third and final group, jump on the turret to the right of the drop ship and defend it from the Covenant and Promethean Knights. Be careful not to shoot the ship, as you can damage it.

Once the other Spartan comes out of the research facility, focus fire (on the same turret next to the ship) up north until he arrives at the drop ship. Jump off the turret, activate your Overshield and run onto the ship to end the level and earn this achievement.

Operation Achievements
"Welcome to New Mombasa"
Complete Operation A.
Complete all Operation A missions (A-1 through A-6) to unlock this achievement. There are no medal requirements for this achievement. You don't need to earn gold on all the missions, but it is highly advised, as there is an achievement for obtaining all gold medals on every mission.

"Homing in"
Complete Operation B.
Complete all Operation B missions (B-1 through B-6) to unlock this achievement. There are no medal requirements for this achievement. You don't need to earn gold on all the missions, but it is highly advised, as there is an achievement for obtaining all gold medals on every mission.
The only missions you might have trouble getting gold stars on are mission B-5/B-6 due to the high score requirement. However, at the end of both levels the enemies will constantly spawn, so you can farm points until you reach the needed amount for a gold medal.

"Ready for Departure"
Complete Operation C.
Complete all Operation C missions (C-1 through C-6) to unlock this achievement. There are no medal requirements for this achievement. You don't need to earn gold on all the missions, but it is highly advised, as there is an achievement for obtaining all gold medals on every mission.

"Home Sweet Home"
Complete Operation D.
Complete all Operation D missions (D-1 through D-6) to unlock this achievement. There are no medal requirements for this achievement. You don't need to earn gold on all the missions, but it is highly advised, as there is an achievement for obtaining all gold medals on every mission.

"No Loose Ends"
Complete Operation E
Complete all Operation E missions (E-1 through DE-6) to unlock this achievement. There are no medal requirements for this achievement. You don't need to earn gold on all the missions, but it is highly advised, as there is an achievement for obtaining all gold medals on every mission.

"Battle Hardened"
Earn all Gold stars in Operations A through E.
Easier than it sounds, as earning gold can be obtained fairly easily by equiping the score booster and stringing together quick kills for bonus points. There are a few levels that have inflated scores, but typically those levels also have infinite enemies that you can simply just farm until you achieve the desired score.

"Thorough"
Complete all Assault Ops for Operations A through E.
This requires you to complete each of the three assault ops for each level. These aren't difficult, but they can be very time consuming to do for each level. The key thing to remember is you do not need to beat the level for the progress to count, so feel free to jump in and out of levels as you farm the necessary requirements.

Also for Minesweeper, you can't use the shield from what I can tell. I went through E-2 two times before I did it without the shield and found that you need to do it without the shield to get the achievement. Probably a trigger from the shield saying that the player was hit from the mine when it was the shield that was hit and not the player.
