Introduction

This guide explains in detail how to get all achievements in Hard Reset Redux as fast as possible. Please upvote and favorite it if this guide helped you.

1. Achievements related to progression

Sergeant

Colonel

General

Complete all Bezoar levels on difficulty Normal/Hard/Insane.

You simply need to complete levels 1-7 on the “Insane” difficulty to get three of these achievements at the same time. Don’t waste your time playing on lower difficulties and simply abuse the amazing dodge mechanic and quicksaves in order to get you through the game.

Exile: Wanderer

Exile: Discoverer

Exile: Conqueror

Complete all Barrens levels on difficulty Normal/Hard/Insane.

Same as before – just complete levels 8-12 on the “Insane” difficulty to get three of these achievements at the same time.

Achilles

Complete all Bezoar and Barrens levels in Heroic mode.

“Heroic” mode unlocked when you beat the whole game at least once and is supposed to be the ultimate challenge because enemies become ridiculous bullet sponges and you are not allowed to use quicksaves, except you can easily break this rule by doing the following:

In the game press “Control” + “~” to open the console and type the following commands:

bind f5 save bind f9 load

And that’s it – now you can use quicksaves even in the “Heroic” mode. If even this is not enough for you, you can also use trainers or the “Cheat Engine” to cheat even harder, I am not gonna judge you, honey.

Collect 10/20/41 full N.A.N.O. bars.

“Full N.A.N.O. bar” means a whole level-up and by “Collect X full N.A.N.O. bars” the game means ONLY the XP points that are lying on the ground in the form of various glowing orange packages, any XP gained from killing enemies doesn’t count towards these achievements.

There is not enough XP lying around in the whole game to collect 41 N.A.N.O. bars so you need to use the “New Game Plus” (in this game it is called the “EX mode”) in order to keep your progress and be able to get the “Elite” achievement.

Buy all CLN Firearm/N.R.G. Weapon/Combat Gear Upgrades

To fully upgrade your weapons and equipment you need 45 level-ups (full N.A.N.O. bars), 15 for each category. If you’ve followed the 100% N.A.N.O Guide I’ve mentioned before, you should get all of these achievements around the same time as you get the “Elite” achievement during your “New Game Plus” (“EX mode”) run.

Destroy the Caul-Dron on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane
Destroy the Atlas on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane
Destroy the 'Shrimp' Construction Machine on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane
Destroy the Overseer on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane

These 16 achievements are story-related and cannot be missed, all of them will unlock if you complete the game on the Insane difficulty.

2. “Challenging” achievements

Immortal

Complete any other level than the first one with no deaths on difficulty Normal/Hard/Insane.

Very straightforward, just abuse quicksaves and dashes to your advantage and you’ll get these three achievements in no time.

Patient

Boredom No More

Kill a Heavy Grenadier on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane
Kill a Heavy Grenadier within 30 seconds on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane

Heavy Grenadier is a heavily armored Gorilla that uses grenade launchers instead of charging you.

You can get all 8 of these achievements very easily by abusing a simple exploit which uses quicksaves.

If you damage the enemy so he is close to dying and then proceed to quicksave and quickload (F5-F9 if you used my console command tips for the Achiles achievement) the timer for the “Kill a Heavy Grenadier within 30 seconds” achievement resets as you quickload the game so you just need to finish the Heavy Grenadier off and the achievement is yours. Too easy.

Monkey Business

No Bananas Today

Kill a Gorilla within 5 seconds on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane
Kill 2 Gorillas within 20 seconds on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane

Again we are using the quicksave exploit: damage two Gorillas so they are about to die, quicksave, quickload, finish them off quickly and these 8 achievements are completed.

Exile: Fugitive

Exile: Cop Killer

Destroy a CLN Gunship within 5 seconds on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane
Destroy 2 CLN Gunships within 20 seconds on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane

“CLN Gunship” is a flying police car that screams at you until you kill it.

Again these 8 achievements are trivial if you use the quicksave exploit: bring down two gunships to low health, quicksave, quickload, finish them off in a timely manner and here you go.

Exile: Pest Control

Exile: Bug Splatter

Kill a Heavy Scarab on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane
Kill a Heavy Scarab within 20 seconds on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane

Heavy Scarab is a huge bug that uses lasers and rockets, he can be seen for the first time at the end of the mission “9 - Junkyard”.

Again we are using the quicksave exploit: damage the Scarab so it is close to dying, quicksave, quickload, finish it off quickly and these 8 achievements are completed.

Exile: Sucker!

Use the blowers to destroy all 20 Bird-bots on the Crusher level on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane

During the mission “8 - Crusher” you will come across two huge turbines sucking air, they are impossible to miss. You need to guide all small bots which are spawning around you during this section into the turbines and the achievement is yours. Don’t worry, you cannot be sucked off by the turbines... no matter how much you want to be (((

Exile: Crush'em!

Use the hydraulic presses to crush all 9 Gorilla-bots on the Factory level on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane

During the mission “11 - Factory" you will activate some huge presses with which you can crush enemies that spawn around you. You need to kill 9 of them (in this version of the game it can be any enemy, not just Gorillas) for the achievement to unlock.

Hawk Eye

Shoot down a Zeppelin

At the beginning of the level “7 - Hospital" you’ll see a zeppelin floating behind the window dangerously close to explosive barrels – shoot them when the zeppelin is right next to the barrels and the zeppelin is no more.

Kill 5/10/20 enemies with one shot on difficulty Easy/Normal/Hard/Insane

There is a place in a mission “6 - Underground” which I lovingly call a “magic bathroom” which allows you to complete up to 24 achievements with one shot!

I recommend having fully upgraded Grenade Launcher of your CLN weapon and the Mortar of your NRG weapon (namely, stasis field), also you can perform the final shot with RPG, which makes it easier to get these achievements, just follow the video:

3. The Grind is Real

Kill 100/1000/10000 enemies

Death Incarnate is probably gonna be your last achievement in this game – 10k enemies is a lot. Once you’ve completed every “Tiered” achievement you should play on the easy difficulty in order to complete this achievement faster.

Revenge

Retaliation

Avenging Angel

Kill 20/200/2000 enemies using environmental damage only.

Just keep exploding various red and blue color-coded environmental objects while enemies are near them and you’ll get these achievements in no time.

Naughty

Hooligan

Vandal

Destroy 50/500/5000 destructible items

Make sure to upgrade the RPG and Grenade Launcher modes of your CLN weapon and use them as liberally as possible and these achievements will be unlocked very quickly.

Pyromaniac

Blow up 50 explosive barrels

These are barrels. They explode. You need to explode these barrels. Now. I am not going to repeat myself. Do it. Do it now.

Big Brother's Eyes

Destroy 20 CCTV cameras.

You should unlock this achievement naturally. If by some miracle you didn’t manage to unlock this achievement by simply playing the game just replay mission “7 - Hospital”. Once you enter the actual hospital building proceed to the second floor and in the well lit area near reception with the huge hole in the floor in the middle of it there should be two sets of cameras – one near the reception and one near the stairway across the hall. Quicksave before destroying the cameras if you need to farm them so you can quickload and do it all over until the achievement is complete.

Exile: Shock'em!

Blow up 30 fusion cells

Fusion cells are the blue barrels that stun enemies instead of dealing damage and can only be seen in levels 8-12. They are kinda rare but you can quicksave before destroying them, blow them up and quickload until you complete this achievement.
Also any fusion cells exploded during the level “12 - Arena” does not count towards completion of this achievement.

Blizzard (Special)

Kill 50 enemies with electricity only

This includes both random blue explosive generators and your NRG weapon’s “Shock Blaster” and “Electric Mortar” modes, simply electrify enemies with what looks like lightning bolts and the achievement is yours.

Chinese Farmer

Unlock all achievements

This achievement unlocks once every other achievement in the game is unlocked.

I have 114 out of 115 achievements done, "Chinese Farmer" is literally the last one to unlock and it doesn't unlock for whatever reason. This is so stupid, anyone has a solution?

around 25-30 hours for 100% completion. Much less if you are cheating and quicksaving

sorry,i guess i wasn't specific enough : imo,the problem with the strategy shown in that video isn't on the weapons side of things but rather on the damage you receive ; it's a good strategy on easy or normal but not so much on hard,insane or heroic because just three or four hits from those popocorn enemies can kill you . i tried climbing on that wall in redux and couldn't do it,will try again soon but..i've found an alternative solution ! (might post a video soon)
basically you climb on top of the toilet paper holder and keep jumping - not only the robots have trouble hitting you but eventually you will start jumping on top of the little robots themselves ; works perfectly on insane difficulty,only got hit once :D

good luck using that strategy in the "magic bathroom" on hard or insane / heroic
this guy uses a different (better) method but no idea if it works in both games or only in the original vanilla game . i will launch redux this evening and give it a try
