I have tried to keep the guide short, so I have not included exact directions to NPC houses.
13ventrm's general guide to daily survival is really essential reading, so please read that! Look in every rubbish bin you see and trade those items with the NPCs you see walking around.

The Bachelor's scenario took me 35 hours to complete. I tried to do every quest and I was also editing this guide along the way. So it can probably be finished faster, but don't say I didn't warn you.

When you are doing quests you generally want to befriend the NPC you are talking to. Being rude usually results in quests failing. One of the major themes of this game is manipulation. The NPCs will lie and manipulate you, so do the same to them. Play everyone off against each other so you can buy enough bread to get through the day. That being said, it is very easy to mess up quests by choosing the wrong dialog options, so save before you talk to NPCs.

Shmowders are arguably the most important item in the game. You will want to hoard as many as you can for the last day. On the other hand, I did not find medicine very important. Reloading a save is probably a better option if you get hit by a cloud or a rat. I never bothered looting houses either, because you get so much money and items from doing quests.

There is a Steam Achievement for seeing every play. If you want to get this achievement sleeping at Older Vlad's house is a good idea. However the Bachelor will miss out on seeing play 9 because of story events. If you want to try and the achievement with him you will need to fail the main quest in order to watch it and then reload a save.

It is necessary to understand certain terms in order to fully understand the story in this game. I have also written a mini encyclopedia (with spoiler tags). So please consult that if you are confused about who is who and what is what.

Controls
Tab - Brings up the selected weapon.
I – opens inventory
Q – opens Quest menu
P – opens player statistics
L –opens letter menu.
When you see a sigil on the bottom left of the screen you probably received a letter or got a quest update, so check the appropriate screen.

Trading
When trading with an NPC, click the item you want (on the left) and then click the item you will give them (on the right). You can choose multiple items. Then click the V button at the top right. If you want to cancel, click the X button on the top right.

When fighting you want to swing before you move forward because the animations are a bit slow.

Food
Nuts -1% (save them for trading with kids)
Crackers/biscuits -2%
Dried Fish -7%
Eggs – 12%
Canned Vegetables -12%
Milk -7%
Smoked meat – 17%
Dried Meat – 17%
Loaf of Bread – 25%
Fresh meat – 25%
Fresh fish – 25%
Lemons increase hunger by 10 but increase immunity.

This map shows the shops and character locations.

Talk to Eve Yahn downstairs and the two Masks outside.
In the courtyard you can fight the man and the worm to get revolver ammo if you wish.

Buy food and any other items today as prices will rise 10 times tomorrow.
Loaves of bread, fresh fish and fresh meat are cost effective ways to sate a lot of your hunger.
If you sleep at Alexanders house tonight you will be in a good location for the next days quests

Main Quest - Pursuing the Killers.
Go and talk to Georgiy.
Speak to Victor, Georgiy's brother and Maria his sister too.
Go to the graveyard behind their houses and take the loaves of bread from Victoria's tomb.
Talk to Alexander and Yulia, at their respective houses.
You can visit Lara and Yulia too to start their quests.
Go to Isidor Burakh's house in the east part of the city.
If you head south of Isidor's house you can find a waste ground.
After watching the cutscene you can pick up a revolver and some free ammo.
Visit Vlad Olgimskiy. Outside the house wait for a "worm" to appear and follow it.
It will show you where Younger Vlad is hiding.
If you don't want to fight it, enter any building, it will despawn.
Afterwards talk to Younger Vlad inside.
At 9pm return to Victor's house to talk to Rubin and find out what happened to Simon.
Warn him not to examine the body.
Talk to Georgiy afterwards.

She was here Steam Achievement.
Talk to one of the girls walking around town about a strange cat.
At 9pm go to the area behind Barley's den.
Walk around for a bit looking for the cat to get the achievement.

Quest - The multilegged fugitive
Talk to Lara Ravel to get this quest
Find the house south of the Theatre near one of the Stairways to the sky.
I marked it as Mold on the map.
(Edit I made an error, its actually the house above the one I marked.(
Talk to the children inside.
You can find a lot of food and a Shmowder inside if you search.
Talk to Lara, she will ask for the Shmowder and give you a reward, but say no.
Keep the Shmowder for day 12.

Quest - The bloody fugitive
Speak to Anna Angel.
It will cost you 2000 coins to finish this quest.
Visit the cemetery. Pay the grave keeper 2000 coins.
Afterwards return to Anna for your reward either a ring or a reputation boost.
Even if you take on this quest but don't complete it, there will be no penalty.
(The rewards don't make this quest worth doing tbh.)

Quest - beastlike fugitive
Vlad offers you a quest to murder a butcher.
You can find the butcher in Aspity's basement, you will get money as a reward.
You can refuse if you want to let the butcher escape.
If you want to help him escape you should talk to Eve and then Aspity. They will give you a golden ring, a bronze bracelet, and earrings as a reward (not much tbh). You can exchange these items with townsfolk for other more useful items.

Sleep at Eve Yarn's tonight to be in a better position for Day 3

Main Quest - Opposition
Read Alexander's letter. (optional)
Talk to Anna about the silent houses.
Talk to Capella, but do not ask her about the start of the plague.
Talk to Sticky.
Go to Isidor's house, its the red house south of Sticky's.
Save before you enter.
Talk to the woman near the second room, take her key.
RUN OUT. Don't let them catch you.
Take the key to Alexander.
Talk to Georgiy and Older Vlad.
Visit Alexander for the revolver and ammo.

Quest House of Living
(The rewards for this quest are slim, but you could always steal the money)
Talk to Lara.
Collect money from Yulia , Younger Vlad and Maria Kain.
(You can also convince Victor Kain to give you 5k coins after talking to Maria)
Buy 3 loaves of bread, 3 meat jerky and 3 dried fish.
If you need more money, sell some of the useless items like jewlery.
Go back to Lara, then head to the house she marks on your map.
It is west of the Clot.
Talk to the Executor in front of the house then return to Lara.
You will get hazelnuts (3), peanuts (3), walnuts (2) and a lens.

Quest - Let's run from here
(The reward for this quest is a gun, but it takes a long time to complete)
First talk to Eve.
Go to the pub and talk to Andrey Stamatin.
Talk to Peter after talking to Andrey.
Then talk to Eve again.
Talk to Maria, but don't tell her about the brothers leaving.
Talk to Peter and Andrey again.
Visit Bad Grief and tell him “Andrey is going to the kennel" to get a revolver.
Talk to Andrey again.
Go to the station at 22:00. Talk to the guard.
You can choose to cancel the escape, or to fight.

Infected districts will start appearing from today.
You can buy a map of the infected districts from Younger Vlad for 1000 coins.
Today you can also visit Lara, she will give you bread and milk.
In addition you can get a bottle of Twyrine from Andrey at the pub after talking about the dead bodies.

Main Quest - Enemy Unseen
Rubin will send you a letter in the afternoon.
Visit Rubin in the warehouse district.
Talk to Alexander.
Talk to Aspity .
Talk to Older Vlad.
Talk to Aspity again.


Find the three butchers and talk to the Policemen by their bodies.
1 The waste land near the Bone Stake
2 Behind Isidor's house
3 In a yard south east of Spichkas house.

Head to the cemetery.
Talk to Grace, tell her "dissecting the bodies is for a good purpose" to get some powder.
Or let Grace keep the powder and gain 30 reputation instead.
Talk to the two patrol guards near the body.
If you don't have enough money (10,000) you will have to fight them. (you will lose reputation).
If you lose the fight you will wake up at Alexanders house and lose reputation, but the policemen in the cemetery will leave.
Take the blood from the corpse.
Go to Rubin's Prosectorium.
Examine the blood under the microscope and talk to Rubin to get the visor lens.

Quest - Body of an immortal
Visit Georgiy and Victor.
Talk to Younger Vlad.
Go back and talk to Victor.
Climb to the top of the Polyhedron.
Tell the dog head you are friends of the Kains.
Talk to Kaspar Kain, then return to Younger Vlad .
Go to the house Vlad mentions, make sure you are well armed. Loot the house.
Talk to Georgiy for a reward of 4000 coins.

Quest - Off to battle went the young boy
Talk to Capella
Head to the Tanners district and find the closed yard near Sticky's house.
Talk to the boy called Idler.
Take the powder from him (you will get 50% infection). Use the powder.
Don't tell Idler to "get out of here".
Talk to Capella again.
There is no reward, but know you know how important Shmowders are now.

Talk to Georgiy about Burakh's innocence.
Stock up on ammo for day 4.

Today you can buy lockpicks from Sticky for 2000 coins.
If you talk to Rubin he will give you a vaccine that will prevent infection for 4 hours.
Try to sleep at the Olgimskiy's house tonight, to make tomorrow easier.

Main Quest - Sanitary measures
Read Older Vlad's letter in the morning, then go and visit him.
Visit Lara's house. (If take Younger Vlad's quest too you can kill two birds with one stone.)
Talk to Lara Ravel about the shelter.
Talk to Younger Vlad about the water.
Talk to Older Vlad.
Visit the Theatre.
Talk to the Tragedian in the Rib district, he is standing near a stairway.
Help the Tragedian out of the infected district to get the keys.
(Make sure you have a free inventory slot otherwise the game will soft lock)
Visit the Cathedral, talk to the woman outside.
Look for the young man in the Vein district near the closed pub.
Help him to get a bottle of Twyrine.
Give the keys to Olgimskiy to complete this quest. (There is no reward)

Quest: Medicine Test
Talk to Younger Vlad, buy a map if you want and take his quest.
Visit Lara, Anna and Yulia and take the medicines they have.
You should get: immunity tablets, neomicine, feromicine, monomicine,
novocainum, morphine, and etorphine.
Go to the house marked on your map.
Talk to the mask.
Stay in that house for 5 minutes (1 hour of game time).
Keep moving so the clouds don't hit you. (save scum time!)
(Apparently jumping on the window sills works too?)
If the clouds hit you, none of the medicine in the world will help.
You will hear your diary update when it is time to leave the house.
Talk to the mask to get some powder.
Talk to Vlad to get a reward of 3000 coins.
Anna will give you a silver ring and 5 β-tablets
Yulia will give you an extremely useful cape-repellent

Quest - Robbers' own
Read Alexander's letter at 12
Go and talk to him. He will give you 6 bullets if you take on his quest.
Talk to Bad Grief.
Go to Barley's Den (see the map above)
Enter the warehouse well armed to fight the 7 bandits.
Enter the warehouse from the backdoor.
On the left should be a rectangular box. Jump on it.
From here you can stab the bandits to death without taking a single hit.
Collect all the loot.
Talk to Bad Grief for the reward (10,000)
Talk to Alexander for 5000 coins. Or if you refuse, just reputation.

Quest - Locked district
Read Victor's letter then talk to him.
He wants you to examine a house in the Skinner's district.
Go to the house next to Stamatin's studio, its unlocked.
Kill the looter and take his/her crowbar.
Talk to Victor.
(There is no reward so there is no need to do this quest.)

Mini-quest: find out why the water system is destroyed
Talk to Younger Vlad for another quest.
Talk to Aspity.
Talk to Lara.
Talk to Aspity again.
(There is no reward so there is no need to do this quest.)

Main Quest - Vaccine
Read Rubin's letter at 12.
Go and talk to Rubin.
Talk to Older Vlad.
Talk to Alexander. (optional)
Talk to Katerina (optional)
Talk to Lara Ravel.
Head to the Factory buildings (The Works), in the third block you can find the Haruspex.
Tell the guard you have come to take the Haruspex to the governor's office.
Then tell the guard you will come back with men.
Otherwise you will have to kill all these guards yourself.
Killing all these guards will ruin your reputation and its very hard to do alone.
Pay Bad Grief 10,000 coins to help you.
Free the Haruspex.
Go to the alley near Isodor's house at 9pm and find the bodies in the grass.
Take the heart from the body.
Bring it to Rubin.

Quest - The Arsonists
Read Anna's letter at 7 thirty am.
Go and talk to Anna.
Talk to the Hunchback. (loot his house too!)
Take the 10,000 coins he offers you, you don't need to blackmail him.
Talk to Anna.
Talk to Willow the dancer at the pub.
Return to the Hunchback ASAP to get 50,000 coins.
If you don't get the money BEFORE you meet Willow you will miss out on the chance.

Quest - The Innocent Ones
Talk to Younger Vlad
Go to the prison, in the Town Council building.
Talk to the executioners. You need 60,000 to free everyone.
Younger Vlad will give you 20,000 and Victor 25,000.
Give the money to the executioners.
Talk to Vlad and Victor to get a 30 percent reputation boost from both.
You can use this boost to recover reputation if you had to kill guards in the main quest.
You could keep the money, but there may be a penalty.

The Hunchback's Arsonists appear on this day, if you need to kill them, aim for the head.
Sleep at Eve's tonight.
Rubin will give you a white vaccine if you go and talk to him.

Main Quest "Witch-hunt"
Talk to Victor about the Cathedral.
Talk to Older Vlad and Alexander.
Take a blood sample from Anna Angel. (The other ladies are optional)
She points the finger at Clara.
Visit Katerina, try to get Clara's blood sample.
Talk to Grace in her lodge.
Find Clara at Eve Yahn's house.
(If the Albino is dead, she will be at his grave)
Take her blood sample.
Look at it under the microscope upstairs.
Talk to her again.

Quest "The thing from Steppe"
Read Sticky's letter.
Walk around the Termitary counterclockwise.
Talking to the Albino will hurt you so be careful.
(There is no reward for this quest, and you don't learn much either)

Quest "They want to burn the Termitary
Talk to Capella and Younger Vlad.
If you go to the Termitary (even though the quest says 10pm)
the Hunchback and 5 of his men will be there.
Four guards will also be there to help you but they will soon get killed off.
It is a very tough fight because your pistol has a very short range.
Its worth doing though because the men are all carrying money and some food.
I looted 4,455 coins, two lumps of fresh meat, biscuits, immunity boosters, and lighter fluid.
Speak to Younger Vlad for a 10,000 coin reward.

The Inquisitor; Aglaja (Stella?), arrives today. Prices will be lowered due to her orders.


Main Quest - Truths, Lies and some thing in between
Read Aglaja’s letter.
Do this quest last as it will stop you from doing any other side quests.
You need to discover who has been spreading misinformation.
You must talk to the people near the marks on the map above.
One is a liar, one tells the truth, and the third can't decide.
Ask each one about his friend and work out the answer.
The liar is behind the Theater
Take the logs they give you.
Confront the one which you think is the liar, but be careful a mistake will result in a game over.
If you do the sidequest Mask and Overalls first, you can easily work out who the liar is.
Talk to Aglaja to complete the quest.

Quest - Eve is gone
Read Eve's farewell note at 7:30 am
(You may need to talk to the girl at Eve' house.)
Visit Stamatin's pub. Talk to the two young men.
Ask him what he is hiding behind his back to get a rifle and 10 bullets.
(N.B. Do NOT sell the rifle. You need it on day 9.)
Go to the swamps near the station.
Cross the small bridge to the island.
Be careful of the 6 enemies ahead. Loot their bodies for Twyrine.
Talk to Andrey to end the quest and find out where Eva is. (there is no reward)

Quest - Mask and Overalls.
At 10 read Burakh's letter.
Ask Mark about the costume in the Theatre.
Find the overall on a corpse near the pit opposite the cemetery.
Talk to Alexander.
Talk to Peter.
Talk to Aglaja and then Peter again to get a lens and bird mask.
Wear both the mask and the coat to get a steam achievement.

Quest - Family reunion
Talk to Aglaja
Talk to Maria
Talk to Victor
Talk to Aglaja and head to Peter’s house. Talk to Maria there.
Go upstairs and talk to Aglaja – she’ll offer you a reward of your choice: a
shotgun and 5 shells; feromicine and 2 neomicine; white vaccine (worth 20000 coins).

Prices will rise again tomorrow, so stock up today.

Main Quest - Subterraen Rot
Read Agladja's letter at noon.
Talk to her at the Cathedral.
Talk to Younger Vlad about the wells.
Talk to Aspity
Talk to Vlad
Go talk to Taya in the Termitary.
(She is on the second floor in behind a door in a torched filled hallway.)
She will ask you to bring Younger Vlad or Older Vlad to her.
DO NOT bring her Younger Vlad. This will cause you to lose the game eventually.
Or you can get her toy bull from an infected building.
It is the same building you went to earlier in the game.
The bull is on the second floor on a bedside table.
In this case Older Vlad will surrender himself anyway.
The Abattoir will open at 23:00 in the evening.
Sleep well before going.
Watch the cut scene
Wake up at 14:00 tomorrow at Blok’s outpost.

Quest - Mysterious sample
Talk to the Haruspex in the Termitary.
He’s on the ground floor in a room to the right of the entrance.
Go to the Rubin's or Eve's house and check it under the microscope.
Return to the Haruspex to get the panacea.

Quest - Panacea black market
Read Younger Vlad’s letter.
Go to the big block of the Termitary.
Talk to the Haruspex .
Go to the 2nd floor and talk to the worms.
Threaten them to get information, but don't kill them.
Visit Younger Vlad.
Talk to Mark Immortal to end the quest, there is no reward.
Talk to Lara, Yulia and Anna. (optional)

Quest - Between Termitary and Polyhedron
Read Ayan’s letter at 12:00.
Talk to the Dogheads at Eve's house.
Talk to Capella, she will give you 2 feromicine tablets.
Give them to Taya
Tell her they are from Capella to get some reputation and a free tablet.

The army has arrived.
Clothing shops now sell rifle ammo and army clothing.
Prices rise again.

Main Quest - The Miracle of the children
Read Victor's letter.
Talk to Victor at his house.
Climb to the top of the Polyhedron.
Tell the Dogheads you need to enter Agate Hole.
The best way to complete this quest is as follows.
Ask for a rifle from the General, but don't tell him it's for the children.
Complete Yulia's quest to get three more rifles.
You can also buy a rifle from Gryph. If you need to.
(Buy some Tywrine from him, you need 5 bottles for tomorrow)
(If your weapon inventory is full you wont be able to buy a new gun.)
Give the 5 rifles to Khan.
Explore the Polyhedron and talk to Khan about it. (there is no reward)

Quest - The Messenger
Read Aglaja’s letter.
Talk to her at the Cathedral.
Go to the Termitary and talk to the Haruspex on the first / second floor.
He will be in the room the worms were yesterday.
Talk to Aglaja and tell her there were expenses to get 7,000 coins.

Quest - The Three Parcae
Read the letters the ladies send you in the morning.
Talk to Yulia and agree to help her.
Return to the general and tell him about Yulia.
He’ll send three soldiers to her house.
Also warn him not to kill Lara if she tries to assassinate him.
Return to Yulia
Kill the 5 rifle men to get 3 rifles and some biscuits.
Don't worry, you wont lose hardly any reputation and the soldiers are very easy to kill.
Talk to Yulia to receive a panacea as reward.
Anna and Lara also give you a Panacea each if you give Anna's gun to Lara.
(Lara does not die or become imprisoned, so presumably she did not go through with her plan.)

Main Quest - Clarity and focus
Read Aglaja's letter at midnight, or in the morning.
Talk to her at the Cathedral.
Go to Peter's house and talk to the soldiers.
Talk to Andrey at the pub.
Head to the stair way to the sky, south of Yulia's house.
Talk to Peter inside (he is dressed as an Executor).
Bring him 5 bottles of twyrine for the plans.
You can buy 3 at Andrey's pub.
You can also buy some from Bad Grief.
Tell him not to do anything stupid, you need him alive.
Give Aglaja the plans. (no reward)

Quest - Chimera The Kain's madness
Read Katerina's letter at noon.
Talk to Rubin.
Talk to Maria.
Talk to Victor.
Tell him that shutting people's mouths is expensive these days to get more money.
Talk to Georgiy.
Talk to Aglaja to get 7,000 coins

Quest - Chimera the Pictogram
Read Mark’s letter at 14:00.
Go to the wasteland near the Bone Stake.
Talk to the man who looks like shop keeper.
Talk to Mark.
Go to Blok to end the quest. (There is no reward)

For tomorrow you will need powders, panacea, food and medicine.
You can sell anything else at the end of this day, for example guns and ammo,

Main Quest - The Foundation of a miracle
Read Aglaja's letter at midnight or in the morning.
Talk to her at the Cathedral.
Go to the pub and talk to the steppe girl.
Talk to Blok.
Go to the station and follow the rails to the end.
Make a save here, just in case. There are 11 soldiers up ahead.
Their leader is the soldier standing in front of the train car.
Don't bothering talking to him because you will wake up in the cemetery with no items.
Instead go up to the rocks on his right.
Using the rocks, snipe the leader and his mates with your rifle.
I only needed to snipe one of his mates, the others didn't notice.
Go back to the pub and talk to Stamatin.
Give the plans he gives you to Aglaja.

Quest - Execution
Talk to the children at the Town Council.
Head to the rocks to the south-west from the cemetery.
You will see four soldiers about to shoot.
Get behind the closest rock and snipe them one by one.
It is easier to get body shots on the ones that are far away.
I got 2,879 coins some biscuits and three rubber bands for killing them
They can also drop rifle ammo if you are lucky.
Go back to the children at the council for a reward, a Shmowder and 6 revolver ammo.

Quest - Getting ready for the Coronation
Read Kain's letter at 12.
Go and talk to Victorr.
Talk to Clara at the Town Council, tell her Georgiy told you.
Talk to Capella.
Talk to the people outside Maria's house..
Head to Nina's crypt to finish the quest.

Quest - Accusers
Talk to Aglaja to get this quest.
Talk to Khan in the Polyhedron. (you don't need to give him the panacea).
Kill the bandit outside Younger Vlad's house and loot his body.
Talk to Younger Vlad to finish the quest. Before you leave his house save the game.
Get ready for a fight outside. (There is no reward.)

The last day. Well done for making it this far.
(kill yourself to get a steam achievement.)

Visit the last theatre performance before 7:00 in the morning.
The Theatre will be closed later.

Main Quest - The Final Proceedings.
This quest will automatically start at 7pm at the Cathedral if:
You completed all the daily quests.
You found the liar on Day 6
You checked Clara's blood before releasing her.
You didn't give Younger Vlad to the Termites.
You didn't let Peter die on the 10th day.
None of your Adherents are dead or infected

Clara and the Haruspex will ask you to heal their Adherents.
Clara is in the short block of the Termitary
The Haruspex is in the Factory district in the building where he was imprisoned early in the week.
If you have enough panacea and powders – do so, but don’t forget about your own Adherents.
If you heal their Adherents go and talk to them.
Then they will come to the meeting.

Here are the lists of Adherents:
Bachelor: The Utopians: Georgiy, Victor, Andrey, Peter, Mark, Maria, Younger Vlad.
Haruspex: The Termits: Khan, Capella, Murky, Notkin, Sticky, Grace, Taya.
Clara: The Humbles: Lara, Yulia, Bad Grief, Rubin, Alexander, Katerina, Anna, Aspity and Oyun.

In my case I had 5 Shmowders and 4 panacears by day 12. None of my Adherents were ill and so I only had to heal 5 other people.

If you cure at least two groups of Adherents a letter from the Powers that be will arrive.
Enter the Polyhedron.
Step on the drawing inside the inner chamber. Talk to everyone inside and leave.
If you saved all the Adherents you will get a letter from the Theatre.
Talk to the people there.
Give them a piece of your mind for putting you through all of this.

Go to the Cathedral at seven.
There is someone waiting for you upstairs...
Talk to everyone and then tell Blok your decision.
There are 4 endings to choose from.
