RAVAGED NVIDIA GPU TWEAK GUIDE
By Kernel Cinders
Does your computer use NVIDIA GPU video card(s) and you want to run RAVAGED with high-res graphics? Not sure if RAVAGED supports SLI? Take a look at this guide and I will show you the tweaks that I have made that not only make RAVAGED look great, but also doesn't kill my FPS.

Part 1: Finding your RAVAGED .CFG Files
The very first thing to do is to find your .cfg files in your "My Documents" section. If you're not sure where that is, the folder should be located at C > Users > "Your User Name" > My Documents > My Games > Ravaged > Ravaged Game > Config

There should be at least four .cfg files and one .txt document in the folder: RavagedEngine.cfg, RavagedGame.cfg, RavagedInput.cfg, RavagedNews.txt, and RavagedUI.cfg

Whatever you do, do NOT change any of the RAVAGED .cfg files in your Steam directory. That's bad, so don't touch those as I haven't messed around with them. If you do, you do so at your own risk as I haven't changed those files.

Once you have found the folder with the .cfg files in your My Documents folder, move on to Section 2
Part 2: RavagedEngine.cfg
BEFORE YOU START MAKING CHANGES, MAKE SURE TO CREATE BACKUP FILES OF RavagedEngine.cfg & RavagedInput.cfg AND SAVE THEM SOMEWHERE SAFE![/b]

Open up your RavagedEngine.cfg file.

Find the [SystemSettings] and change settings to what is listed below. These are the main graphic tweaks that will make RAVAGED look extra nice.

I wouldn't recommend changing anything else in the [SystemSettings] so if you do, you do so at your own risk . . .

Once you're finished editing your settings, save it, close it, and then right-click the file icon. In the properties section, change the file to be "Read Only" and you're done.
Part 3: RavagedInput.cfg
This file is optional. I prefer to tweak my own input settings and keep them from being changed by making the file "Read Only" for my own convenience.

Below are the menu items that you can change directly in the RavagedInput.cfg file. These are my own personal settings and I'm not recommending anyone to use them. I'm just showing you where the settings are located in the file. Open it up and scroll down until you find the different settings and change them to whatever you like to use.

[Engine.PlayerInput]
MouseSensitivity=30.000000
bEnableMouseSmoothing=False
bAllowMouseSteeringOption=False
bAirMouseInputPowerCurve=True
bAirYawSmoothing=True
ToggleSprint=False
ToggleCrouch=True
ToggleZoom=False
ShowHUD=True
UserFOV=90.000000
LandVehicleSteerSensitivity=2.000000
AirVehicleMouseSensitivity=0.750000

Once you're finished editing your settings, save it, close it, and then right-click the file icon. In the properties section, change the file to be "Read Only" and you're done.
Part 4: NVIDIA Control Panel Settings
First thing you need to do is add Ravaged to your list of programs and you'll need to do it manually. The file you need is an .exe file. It should be located in your Steam folder at the following location: Steam > Steam Apps > Common > Ravaged > Binaries > Win32 > RavagedGame.exe

Once you've found it, add it. Now you can customize Ravaged.

Below are my own personal NVIDIA Control Panel Settings for RavagedGame.exe. My desktop computer uses EVGA GForce 560ti 1.5GB x 2 in SLI mode (F.A.F.R. 2).

Ambient Occlusion: Not supported for this application (grey'd out)
Anisotropic Filtering: Application-controlled
Antialiasing - FXAA: Off
Antialiasing - Gamma Correction: On
Antialiasing - Mode: Enhance the application setting
Antialiasing - Setting: 4x
Antialiasing - Transparency: Off
CUDA - GPUs: All
Maximum pre-rendered frames: Use the 3D application setting
Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration: Single display performance mode (I only use one monitor)
Power management mode: Prefer maximum performance
SLI rendering mode: Force alternate frame rendering 2 (this setting gives me the most stable FPS)
Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization: Off (grey'd out)
Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: Clamp
Texture filtering - Quality: High Quality
Texture filtering - Trilinear optimization: Off (grey'd out)
Threaded optimization: On
Triple buffering: On
Vertical sync: Use the 3D application setting

I changed the title and description to be more troll-friendly . . .

I hope you're getting paid to comment on this guide . . . but probably not . . .

why don't you just delete all comments again too? so that the next person who notices your useless guide is just a cry for attention won't see that the coversation has already taken place more than once.

Oh no, I'm not deleting it because it really annoys the hell out of you. Keep posting! =P

ok, by your own admission, the guide is obsolete.

the amazing thing is that you don't delete it entirely...

I'm amazed that anyone would even take the time to comment on a guide for a game that barely has any population left . . .

do you really fail to see how disingenuous the title of your guide is?

it might be more helpful to people if it were named appropriately to match the contents of the guide.

do you also not understand that people with high-end systems do not require this but that only people who are fighting to gain better performance from their system have a use for this at all?

I haven't played this game for months, but I originally made the guide so people can tweak the game regardless of how powerful their system is. Most of the tweaks can be used on any computer unless it's an absolute dinosaur.

If you just want to set everything at max using the in-game settings then that's fine, but some people might want to mess around and tweak the game. That's all this guide is really for anyways.

As for myself, I found the tweaks worked well for my system and so I made this guide to share my findings.

this is not a guide to make this game look great and run well on a high-end computer.

all you have to do to make it look great and run well on a high end computer is to turn everything to max and not worry! because the unreal 3 engine is not a difficult task for a high-end computer!

your guide is an attempt to squeeze more performance out a of a low-end computer.

this guide is entirely unnecessary for the purpose that you claim it is for...

rename your guide! because you are living on a another planet from the rest of us if you think all this coaxing is required to get a high-end pc to perform well with this game. a high-end pc will run this game with every graphical setting set to maximum, without breaking a sweat.

only low-end pc's have any sort of trouble running this game!
